Those back stories she all says are true. Alter is what I think everyone single alter in one form. Alter keeps altering her backstory because they’re true in the dimension she is in. She’s basically America from doctor strange and the multiverse of madness. She is both right and wrong. Alter fits her perfectly

if we go off the time travel aspect the horizon is doing, this could a different version of horizon from the future and these are future apex legend backstorys

those other backstories were not lies. She probably has the ability to travel to different dimensions/timelines and those backstories are her from other dimensions/timelines. She stands in a broken dimension/timeline at the end of the cinematic and she says "every person in EVERY WORLD asks me the same question". Also she has been summoning a parallel version on Olympus in the game, you can see it if you look into the distance outside the map. There is a theory that she is subject 0 from Wraiths backstory.

I see multiple backstory’s from other legends. Rev/ Loba and Bloodhound.
I feel like she is some alternate version of horizon, maybe something happens when she time travels and alter is born, it might explain her name being an ALTERnate version of horizon.
She can steal one item from a death box her passive her tactical she can put a portal to go through walls her ultimate she could put down a device that she can use from 200 m away and we'll be able to go back to that point and her teammates will be able to interact with it too just look up her abilities in action

Personally, one thing I liked about the trailer while I was watching it with a friend was that it reminded us of two totally different things: for me it reminded me of the Doomfist animated announcement trailer from the first Overwatch, while for him it reminded of opening scene of the first Kung Fu Panda.
However, I hypothesize that thanks to her particular look Alter could have interesting skins and have many fans given her crazy characterization and unreliable backstory.
Maybe she steals peoples abilities because she stole peoples past.

On some real shit. I made me so mad seeing people shit on the official release of thrailer. Saying stuff like "we already know" or "it got leaked, you didnt have to do this." Like cool dude, not only are impatient but you gotta be self entitled and condescending about it.
Macro she is an interdimensional traveler. Meaning that all backstories are true to an extent, like the bloodhound one. In that demension she must have killed or taken the place of the orignal bloodhound therfore ALTERing the original timeline. Every new demension she enters its lie starting a new life.
I just don't understand the desire for solos mode so much. Can't you simply no fill in duos mode? Yes that's harder but if you hate the idea of having a teammate dragging you down, it's the best you're gonna get
She is Alter = Alternative personalities which could imply that she actually believes she has done all these things and that's why she mocks the other legends

What i gather is that alter has lived the alternate lives of certain legends. Bloodhound, revanent, and loba.

@@midnightlens or u just let them camp and run the other way, u get 2 lives and regen anyways. The lives also disappear in the final ring so the campers get nothing out of it anyways

The thing is alter IS a multiversal traveller. So the backstories she told are more likely possible. She could have lived as bloodhound or being trained as a assasin.

"Alter" can also mean "other" (latin root I think but idk) which can mean she is all the stories she told among other things
