The trade was a money thing, but also taking into account the assets we gave to get Gobert we would never be able to trade him for anything remotely close to that value. So KAT was the one to go cause we would get a better return.
And back to financial aspect, KAT is on the 8th largest contract in the league and with the new CBA rules and our ownership being cheap they weren’t dealing with those implications.
