OLED burn is not as common as you think. generally oled is a better pick. where i live you can get an oled for half the price of this, by LG, which just seems like a no brainer. they wouldn't mass produce them if they were that bad, and besides, guarantees. you don't need to have your TV around 24/7 do you? just if you're that unlucky 0,02% that it happens to.
btjh burnin is common. The thing is the average person will not notice they have burnin unless they put a red slide or magenta slide and look for the signs. It isn’t noticeable when watching regular content that’s why most people don’t notice it and don’t complain. Burnin also depends on how long you have the tv on per day. If you are doing 12 hours of constant watching without giving the tv a rest the tv will become susceptible to burnin because the tv wont have time to do a compensation cycle. Also depends on the content you are watching. If you play for example allot of animation or cartoons for many hours a day the panel heats up more than say watching a film because that type of content uses pure bright colors which makes the pixels constantly light up. Heat will make it susceptible to burnin.
This is a very impressive panel now that I've seen it IRL a few times. However, I was kind of bummed that the local dimming on the 55'' in game mode was turned down significantly. To the point where it was... well... not even half as good as when watching movies. I tend to use my TV for like 60% series/movies/shows and 40% gaming so that's basically still a pretty big bummer.
Good video. That one connect box is flawed though. They give you a right angled power lead that goes directly above one of the satellite in sockets.
