OMG that shotgun blast at 36:18 took away 25% of your total hp. and another one at 37:17 with big self-damage! i didn't know that explosive ammo would do that much self-damage. great episode as always.
Weird that didn't count! The tusker that was stuck to it was already dead, so maybe collision damage or something? That definitely feels like a bug. Or like you said maybe they had to be killed in the desert. That double spawn was just wild. I do the same thing with my bridges, stick some beams right next to it so I can see it. Those explosive bullets just don't work well in the Oh 💩moments. I died the one time I used them on a surprise bear that had just charged and one-shot myself. Awesome video, thanks!
you can craft a cloth armor attach the Nutrition attachment on it, eat 5 food buffs then swap it out for the composite chest with plating attachment u wont lose the food buff. you will have 5 buffs with 4 stomach slots
this mission bugged for me too, but i have done it on normal difficulty and 2 bosses spawned at the same time. i have a video on my channel. then the same thing happened where it didnt count 1 of the boss kills, i had to exit the game and restart the game for the mission to work.
I use standard overall high settings with simple light/building shadows off, terrain deformation/volumetric clouds off, skybox low, NVIDIA DLSS on performance, and NVIDIA reflect on+boost. 1080p resolution. A lot of the lag comes later on when you have a lot of things built so a fresh world will be much smoother than an older one.
Question about the glass, (reinforced), im assuming your on hard difficulty. are you running around with a hammer after each sever storm to keep it looking nice or am I missing something with your design.
My glass walls are the older "reinforced" glass, so not the new version using steel. They are about as resistant to storms as normal stone walls, so I haven't had to repair a single wall yet since building them.

As you found out - the carapaces despawn pretty quickly...
Yes, very quick! They also drop a huge amount so no big issue if you gather while fighting.

Yeah those bullets definitely bit a couple times haha. But they are so powerful, definitely useful for the big boss enemies. Thanks for watching!

I have seen the scorpion 1-shot kill before. Just once - it was hit somewhere on the underside of the head/chest.

Boss Arena's don't count it seems, just out in the world at large [IRC they were all name Xoram?sp?] for them to count
I think this mission is just bugged for a lot of people, others seem to have the same issue
