The cycle of violence can only be ended by God. It is hard for me to see children being killed on both sides..it is too big of a price. I am looking for the fruits of the Spirit in this situation and that both sides come to know the saving and healing Grace of Jesus because that is where the deepest representation of our humanity comes from because that is where we find the truth in LOVE.

Jesus please renew my faith because Lord these past three years have been so hard on me and my children. I want to give up. As one who left evangelicalism during my master's study in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at Harvard Divinity School (WARNING: A "back-slidden" Christian here), I could've never imagined that my conviction to stay quiet about the erroneous foundations of biblical inerrancy/infallibility--thereby avoid setting up a stumbling block for Christians--could, in some way, contribute to something like the support for genocide. The Old Testament was written by Jews, who even in ancient times, were fighting with Palestinians (i.e., Philistines > remember Goliath?) over land and wrote an authoritative, God-stamped manual to reinforce their right to that land. Same with the Palestinians, who had their own version of the same Bible, with characters and names of holy sites changed, etc. But it was the Jewish Bible that won out in religiopolitical spheres and was handed down to Christians. Now, many Christians, especially evangelicals, take every word as if from the mouth of God and interpret it as prophecy, not really understanding this present-day struggle about which the Jews were writing. If you do this, of course you're going to believe that the Jews are the chosen people of God (that is what they affirmed about themselves after all) and give the green light to whatever they do. Even genocide. And as most know, the Old Testament is filled with genocide. This calls for evangelicals to really examine themselves spiritually and scrutinize their Bible, away from the biased guard rails of biblical inerrancy and infallibility. Don't worry, the truth can take it. It's a lot stronger than you think.

As one who left evangelicalism during my master's study in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at Harvard Divinity School (WARNING: A "back-slidden" Christian here), I could've never imagined that my conviction to stay quiet about the erroneous foundations of biblical inerrancy/infallibility--thereby avoid setting up a stumbling block for Christians--could, in some way, contribute to something like the support for genocide.
The Old Testament was written by Jews, who even in ancient times, were fighting with Palestinians (i.e., Philistines > remember Goliath?) over land and wrote an authoritative, God-stamped manual to reinforce their right to that land. Same with the Palestinians, who had their own version of the same Bible, with characters and names of holy sites changed, etc. But it was the Jewish Bible that won out in religiopolitical spheres and was handed down to Christians.
Now, many Christians, especially evangelicals, take every word as if from the mouth of God and interpret it as prophecy, not really understanding this present-day struggle about which the Jews were writing. If you do this, of course you're going to believe that the Jews are the chosen people of God (that is what they affirmed about themselves after all) and give the green light to whatever they do. Even genocide. And as most know, the Old Testament is filled with genocide.
This calls for evangelicals to really examine themselves spiritually and scrutinize their Bible, away from the biased guard rails of biblical inerrancy and infallibility. Don't worry, the truth can take it. It's a lot stronger than you think.

God could open the red sea again if Israel repents and turnsto the lord Jesus and fallow his word
happening in Gaza. They are reaping what they sow. Teaching big words is easy imagine it was your family your kids, young sisters being raped and laughed and spitted and made vidoes of would you sit and just pray for terrorists and encourage them. Jesus loves everyone true that is why by His grace we are His poeple now but Israel is His chosen people, His first born. Remember it is written if you touch them you touch the apple of His eye.

The speaker has absolutely tried as a human being still on studying. U all should see pastor Vlad not standing for betterment of peace and humanity. I believe all preachers are open to admonitions. I call on u pastor Vlad to pray for peace of humanity and reject terror from all humans being Christian, Muslim, jew, Buddha etc.

I had been really tormented in my heart thesevlast few days...because so many christians I know are so against Israel... And i kept praying that someone would show me how and what and why i should pray for Israel and God's chosen people!
Praise the Lord Jesus for the blessed Holy Spirit who leads us in all truth. I just cannot understand how a Christian can be against Israel! It is beyond me. Do they really believe the Holy Bible? The Holy Bible instructs us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and also in Genesis 12: 3 God said that He will bless them that bless the Jews and curse them that curse the Jews. Even if I don't understand it, I would rather be in agreement with the Word of God than to try to kick against the prick. The first believers (Christians) were Jews. We, the people of the nations (Gentiles) have been grafted in the True Vine.
I suppose we Christians always knew that Israel is God's chosen and that no one taught us but the BIBLE alone. But at the same time praying for the innocent civilians of Palestine as well. Praying for Israel.
I am very distressed too. I am trying to talk to people but the hate is immense. We need to pray more and be filled of the Holy Spirit. Not sure our human influence can do anything

Thank you Pastor Vlad and Joel. The word of God that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem should never be taken ordinarily but to be taken deep. As Christians we need just to pray in the real meaning of prayer. We should just fear The Lord God Almighty and heed His Word. Once He Has spoken and twice we have heard that All Power Belongs to God. Christians we need to pray.
