      What I wish you would explain, is Why there are a few Letters of the SAME SOUND and SAME CLASS. Why duplicate it?

    Thank you for taking the time to enunciate the sounds and tones clearly. In addition, your visual demonstration of how the mouth moves is very beneficial in reproducing the correct sounds!!!

    Thanks a lot for your videos! Actually, ฉ is so tricky. When you say the first part, the sound, it really sounds like "sh" , but then you say a word where you use it and it sounds like "ch" there 😆

    • @letslearnthai
      @letslearnthai  Час назад +1

      It depends on the tone too to make it sound like ch or sh 🙂

      For me, there is no standard of writing Thai words in English right now. Different teachers can write different ways depend on how/what they focus. Anyway, please write down the way you hear it or the way that you understand as long as you can pronounce the words correctly and write them correctly in Thai :)

    Hi :D
    I'm a little confuse in kho khuat and kho khai, but it's the way to write it that it's getting on my nervs. When you shows us kho khuat and it's meaning, the whole word has the consonant diferent to what it actually is. You show the khuat but the whole word actually has the khai, am i getting it wrong?

    • @SadakoHikari
      @SadakoHikari 3 года назад +4

      ฃ (kho khuat) is no longer used in writing, though it appears it's still a part of the Thai alphabet. That's why the word is written with ข (kho khai), which has the same sound and is a high consonant as well. Similarly, ฅ (kho khon) is no longer in use, and is replaced with ค (kho khwai). Same sound, also a low consonant.

    What percentage of Thai people learn to read using this alphabet without using the Latin alphabet?

    • @letslearnthai
      @letslearnthai  3 года назад +5

      We, native Thais, learn Thai from Thai alphabet directly, we never learn from the latin alphabet. The romanization is just to help foreigners.

  • @karirm5057

    The best way I could learn some vowels is by thinking about what words they are in, and also that some words look like animal shapes.🐍😅
