Within Russian border, this is warlord/mob territory. I'm sure bad things happen here, but not nearly what happens within the borders of N. Korea. This appears more akin to something we used to have in the US in the coal mining areas where workers and their families were exploited by company 'bosses'. The song "16 tons" comes to mind.
