That's a great mindset to have about offloading some slabs for liquidity! I wish more sellers would do that with their singles too. As a buyer, I went to a show where vendors didn't even want to get 90% of TCGplayer on cheap moderately played holos and reverses ($2-10 per card)... like, ok, now they're going to sit in your binder or case for 3+ more months because you didn't want to take $5-10 off the total... if I were a vendor, I would take the chance to offload hard-to-sell cards to any buyer with an offer pretty much. You find a buyer, make them happy (good customer relationships are extremely undervalued), and get some extra cash to increase your business and not hold it in illiquid binder cards. As a buyer, I will not go back to a vendor that won't try to make a fair deal. A negative buying experience means I'll never buy from you again. Now yes, if I was lowballing, I would be the issue, but I'm saying these dudes overprice items, then want to stick at their sticker even if I buy a whole bunch of cards.

Demand isn't going away for Pokémon, it's never too late, was at a local convention and there was a guy in his 80s buying what art he liked for him self, man started in the 90s as well.
ehh, there’s some nuance to it. eg: box it came from, if all packs were ripped each print is different there’s not a be all end all weight for heavies especially after early WOTC
it’s a signature so they usually are 1/1 unless someone else get the same card signed, not something I buy tho and we run a tcg business back in the UK
