Check out my 1991 JDM-swapped Mazda Protege. This car was twenty years in the making before it even got here. It has a lot of personal value to me, and I hope you enjoy the video!

I totally miss my BG! I still have a full GTX turbo kit that I never installed hanging around in the garage somewhere.
I just bought a 92 protege lx with 160k miles may 2nd its my 2nd bp protege and I had an 04 protege5 and a 93 mx3
A BP with a G-series trans could easily handle a turbo that the 2 just couldn't, at least it was designed for it. I was in the V6 crowd with a KL-ZE MX-3
Great to see you back on the 'Tube. I'll miss seeing the 2 that inspired me to buy my own, but at least it went to a good home where it shows up on m2o occasionally. Looking forward to seeing more of this gem.

Hey bro love your channel! I have a 03 protege5 automatic with 199,xxx miles just bought it 2 weeks ago. Never owned a Mazda before, is it normal for my rpm’s to be aroun 3k-3500 at 80-85 mph????
Sounds about right. Yours is a 4-speed auto, but even the manuals are geared to feel sporty when accelerating which results in high revs at highway cruising speeds.
@@HiroshimaSpirit thank you so so much for the reply it means a lot! It drives really good, any tips on what I could replace before it becomes an issue in the future. It’s just a commuter car for work nothing else. Soon as I bought it changed the oil spark plugs/wires, coil packs and trans fluid (almost empty when drained) shifts a tad hard going into second gear thinking about adding Lucas trans fluid
Just basic wear items as needed, same as any other car.
