Great Horned Owl Nestling

Iowa Wildlife Center rehabilitators examined and returned a great horned owl nestling to its nest. The nestling had fallen ~20+ ft to the ground and was discovered by a homeowner earlier that day. After a medical evaluation, the nestling was returned to the nest, and barriers were put in place to reduce the risk of future falls. At the end of the video, you can see one of the parents watching from a distant tree.
