Iowa Wildlife Center WildWay Prairie Controlled Burn

Yesterday, I assisted trained volunteers with a controlled burn on Iowa Wildlife Center's WildWay grounds. Controlled prairie burns help restore nutrients to the soil, remove dead organic matter, and prevent invasive species from out-competing native prairie plants.
