Maxputil yeah they're referring to Earl Sweatshirt. Tg Jhgf "They are extensions of the instinctual soul"; by no means am I saying Cole is the best but he is not average. His music is soulful for mainstream hip-hop - something that I dearly miss - which is why he is recognised and likable. Though Kendrick, Joey and Earl are all better hip-hop artists imo. But hey, you have a right to an opinion as well I guess...

I find it so funny all the people being like "this is real hip hop" and "this generation of music sucks" when the entire point of the song is that you can get equal levels of artistry from this generation's music.

This album will age really well. Like fine wine. I didn't give it its proper appreciation when it first released, but it's all I've been listening to recently. What an album to go out with. ATCQ is truly one of kind. RIP Phife.

I hadn't realized that Phife was able to record a bunch of tracks before he passed away, so when I listened to this album when it first came out, I got straight goosebumps hearing his voice again. RIP man, appreciate all you've done for us and for music.

Nom at the Grammys for best album.....they should've won. Plus it's there 1st album in like 16 years. How they kept it current but never lost their touch. How Phyfe did the album sick and he and Tip put aside their differences. Their 1st album without Dilla since their 1st few. Man fuck! How Q-Tip was just a Monster on the beats. 😱I'm done.

I loved growing up on MTV videos when they first started airing in the 80's, only to see the channel slowly turn into reality tv instead of being about music.
For a while there was no good place to see videos like this so it is amazing to me to see people making such quality videos after a bit of a drought.

im pretty sure the 6th album was inspired by phifes diabetes. since he was going to die they just wanted to get this last album out. they were originally offered 6 albums by their record label and only had 5 of them out until recently.
1990 I bought People’s Instinctive Travels on cassette. Changed my life. For 30 years ATCQ has laid the soundtrack of my life. And to hear this masterpiece come out 26 years later? Amazing. So lucky to have these dudes in my life.
"Bon Applebum, Luck of Lucien, Can I kick it, Description of a Fool" just to name a few that gave me that push to De La Soul "3 feet and rising", even Jungle Brothers. Da hell with it, the WHOLE ALBUM was a movement itself. I was in the military when I got it, though I followed orders and such, I was in my own "Buhlooone Mindstate"!!!!!!!!!
