Great video up until the point where you pushed your VINTONE Template on us. Would have loved to have gotten the final result without purchasing a premade $75 template. Game is game i guess
I understand it looks like I’m pushing my template just to push my template but I’m being completely honest when I say the first thing I would do is open this template if I were making this for any official projects. I made it specifically for this kind of workflow and it’s the best way about it. That’s why I’ve constantly used it on official merch for big names. There is of course a way to do it without the template I just think the absolute easiest and best way to go about it is with VINTONE. However, if you wanna explore similar looks with techniques that don’t use VINTONE, you can check out my Breaking Bad Concept T-Shirt video. You’ll learn some good stuff without having to make any purchases! I appreciate your support either way❤️
You could do the 3d in AI, Dimensions or AE . Also why just not make the selection with the text layer? No need to use any selection tools, just ctrl click the text layer. Design smarter not harder 👽
Either way works. This is just my personal method. I don’t like AI’s 3D for this, sounds weird but it’s too good. I like Eye Candy for its very basic rendering which gives a more cartoonish effect in the end. Also yeah could use the text layer selection, but I did want to give a more versatile method say if someone wants to rotate the text a different way over x or z axis, they’d have to select the face of the text with magic wand or something.

The first part i think you can do it in Adobe Illustrator without plugins and youll get smooth lines
AI is cool too! I just prefer Eye Candy for this. All up to preference really.
