i used it through 1 of their 5 sections and at the end is a capstone test. although i aced everything up to that point, i realized during the final that not only did i not know how to form sentences, but they had not taught me enough to be able to complete their own exam
@@JewishMarinethe native language in North America was never English lol I’m not sure why people refuse to believe North America had history before it was originally invaded by Europeans
My fiance lives in Venezuela and we're working on getting her to the US. She does speak some English and I speak a little Spanish that zip learned in high school. Rosetta Stone has helped my immensely. She has told me a few times how much better my Spanish has become.
A lot of my customers are Spanish speaking. I can see what a relief it is to them when there is someone working that understands them and are able to communicate with them. I know how I would feel in their shoes. :)
I just wanted to say I'm so glad I clicked on your link. I originally did Rosetta Stone on my search engine and it was on sale for $199. But when I clicked on your link, it was $149! Thanks for the savings!!
Thank you for this review! I’m debating on getting a lifetime subscription because I want to learn more than one language and this has helped a lot. I want to learn Spanish because so many jobs out there require it and it would be good to know living in Texas.
I recently began learning Spanish with DuoLingo, and am on a 30+ day streak, but I have a Rosetta Stone fully unlocked account, but I just don't click with its teaching method or the time each lesson requires. But lately I've become more curious about Babbel+... I wish I could just find the perfect one. This video basically confirms my thoughts on Rosetta Stone -- surprising through because I am a visual learner.
I want to learn Spanish because I am a firefighter/paramedic in an area with a large Spanish speaking population and have had problems assessing patients who only spoke Spanish. I have lost valuable time trying to translate on emergencies when my patient needed rapid treatment which is really frustrating. I also really like visiting friends in Puerto Rico where I often travel to areas where English isn't spoken as much and want to be able to communicate better with the people I meet there.
Thanks for this review, I come across so many people that are Spanish speaking that I want to learn more. With the few words Ive been able to use in simple sentences, you can see them light up when someone wants to talk with them.
My Wife is from Latin America. Her English is very good but I'm limited in speaking to many of my relatives & would like to have the ability to communicate with them more effectively. I've been using the duo lingo app & it's not bad, but don't think it's for me so much. Thanks for the video.
My first experience with Rosetta Stone was obviously seeing the kiosk in the mall, years later after having a couple serious relationships with Spanish speaking girlfriends and decided it was time to finally learn. I was a pretty poor mid 20s kid and found a copy onthe Pirate Bay. That first experience really cemented how much I enjoyed learning another language as it had been probably 10 years prior that. I’m an adult with good income obviously I’m going to just pay for the 12 month subscription and I’m excited to get back into it. I am a very visual heavy learner and my main focus is conversation, but I also want to read and write.
Been telling my friends for a couple weeks, if Rosetta Stone goes on sale again for the lifetime subscription again near the holidays, I’m gonna get it. Well we’re near enough, thanks to your link. Half off is just the right amount. Thank you. Can you make a suggestion for learning Albanian or Ukrainian? I work with a pretty diverse bunch of guys and I wouldn’t mind surprising them with a few words here and there.
Thanks for watching! To learn Albanian and Ukrainian, check out Pimsleur. You can get access to both of those languages under the same subscription on a month to month basis and their course is great. Good luck!
I work in the non profit sector servicing immigrants and refugees from Latin America. My job consists of reviewing their cases and ensuring that they receive the necessary support to help them resettle in the United States. Many arrive here from wartorn countries and not able to speak any English. Having a stronger proficiency in Spanish will not only help me in my job of servicing these clients but also my career and servicing Spanish speaking populations throughout the globe.
Excellent Rosetta Stone Spanish review. Eduardo has always been a Rocket Man, but this review has me taking a harder look at Rosetta Stone. Appreciate your concise videos.
Always wanted to try Rosetta Stone. Just moved to Mexico and took some in person spanish classes here. But at $300US a week it was not sustainable. I enjoy speaking Spanish on the streets with strangers and Mexican friends, but a course would definitely help to learn new words!
I want to learn spanish because most of my neighbors are Spanish speaking. It also will open career opportunities in my job search. And lastly, it just sounds cool to say I'm multilingual.
I am going to Barcelona with my new husband for our honeymoon. I really want to experience the city, not as an American tourist, but a spanish speaking tourist. I want to be able to get around town effectively and have a good time
This was a nice synopsis. I appreciate the chapters also. Considering Rosetta to brush up on my Spanish skills since I travel less for work (post pandemic.)
I bought a used Rosetta Stone at a thrift store. Did I waste my money? It was only $2. I'm not sure I can use it once it's been downloaded by the previous owner.
I bought rosetta stone on Groupon. Not only can you get Rosetta Stones discount you can slap a Groupon discount on top of that. Paid about one hundred dollars.
I really want learn Spanish just because of how commonly it’s spoken next to English in the US. With the speech recognition, I’m curious if it counts against you for not being able to roll your R’s
As with Pimsleur, I get my Rosetta Stone access for FREE through the e-learning section of the Public Library (San Diego) catalog. There's even an app for it! 😂
My husband's family all speaks Spanish and I want to be able to communicate with them. Also I live in Nashville where it's very multicultural and I want to be able to communicate with the people I meet from different countries here
Why do you want to learn Spanish? I’m a medical professional who wants so badly to be able to communicate with Spanish patients that come to my hospital. Because being able to communicate effectively is part of the healing process as well Also, I can see pluses and minuses to immersive learning. What’s easier for some may be more difficult for other. Me personally I think that I would prefer more structured learning and I don’t necessarily think that I would require a lot of pictures or a “match game style” learning experience. I think instructions in English that may or may not taper off is much better in the long run. We are learning a NEW language, not learning a language for the first time. That’s why it’s called being bilingual! But rosetta stone is definitely a program to consider
What version is the best to buy? I see I can get a new $600 lessons 1-5 for $60. To do the lessons does it take some special membership I can't just learn from the CD set. I want CD's so I can study spanish while riding bicycle or riding city bus. What if you don't really know what kind of learner you are? How can I find out what kind of learner I am?
Either Rocket Spanish or Pimsleur, for sure. Both are audio-based programs with detailed audio lessons. Check both out. You could listen while driving.
Have you known anyone who has tried Rosetta for Hindi? I haven’t found any other learning software that teaches Hindi, but I don’t want to invest if it’s a dud
