      He’ll be on the team, but I think they bring in someone to compete for that job knowing you can go back to Bryce if needed, so I’ll say no.

      I think it really depends on how he does the rest of the year. I will say yes. He seems to be improving and showing more poise in the pocket and not running scared at the first sign of a rush. He's actually stepping up into the pocket and waiting and staring down the face of defenders to complete passes. First two games Bryce ain't doing that. I think the biggest factor is his growing chemistry with the other young talent on the team. If he can continue to grow with them, then we could potentially have some future young offensive studs. It's funny I'm thinking this way, because after seeing Bryce at the start of the season, I was done with him.

    Big props to Chris and his random WWE references.☝️😄 As for Bryce, I think he'll be here next year, but I don't know if he'll be the starter or not. However, he seems to be more poised and confident in the past few weeks, so if Canales not committing to him as starting QB is driving him to get better, then I say keep doing it. Honestly, I'm not feeling confident about the Panthers upsetting a ticked off, fired up Chiefs team, but I've seen crazier things happen in the NFL, so I'll be ecstatic if they do.

    He's played decent but enough to beat 2 of the 3 teams he's started against. It should be pointed out that those two teams are in worse shape than the Panthers at the moment, but the difference is that currently it looks like the Panthers are trending upwards. My point is, we haven't beaten the Chiefs just yet, lol, it was NO and a guy who just got benched for a guy I didn't even know was still in the league. This Sunday almost seems to be the moment when things come together for Bryce one way or another, for good or for bad. Last season was a failure from the top down, and Bryce caught a lot that wasn't his to catch. They fixed a lot of things during the offseason, and then he comes out like he did in Week 1 and 2. To add to things, Dalton goes out and does what he did against LV and then everyone is asking questions again. Again, it turns out that LV was just that bad, but still it was a badly needed W for the team. Then, we don't get another win after that and Andy gets hurt in the car accident. Bryce steps in, gets 2/3 W on his next 3 starts. He's playing with confidence, he seems to have chemistry with his WR, Chubba has been THE dawg on offense and is finally getting some help (hopefully) with Brooks debuting, and JT has been getting better and better at TE. I do not blame Canales one bit for being nervous about trusting Bryce with the keys, but if things weren't the way they were with the team (meaning the last several seasons aftermath) then he wouldn't have anything to worry about. Win, or lose.

  • @ZeFlicks
    @ZeFlicks 3 дня назад +9

    It’s because Dave knows that the rest of the schedule is the actual test for Bryce young, if the giants didn’t shoot themselves in the foot we would’ve lost that game. You can’t throw for just 129 yards against actual healthy play off caliber type teams which the last 2 games weren’t

    • @johnjohn0
      @johnjohn0 3 дня назад

      @beingandtime I don't think anyone but Sanders is a bright spot. He's a former 5-star recruit who had to play 2 yrs with Quinn Ewers. That's punishment.
      But the issue is that QBs around the NFL are playing with WRs whose resumes dwarf Coker's and Legette's. It's atrocious how lopsided it is. You can't ask a 2nd yr QB to put up numbers with this pathetic WR corp.
      This is not me praising Bryce. I'm just pointing out how these WR weren't elite in college or high school. Yet, we expect them to do what as rookies? Look at Burrow's and Hurts' WRs. Look at their high school and college resumes. Then put them up against Coker's and Legette's.

    IMO, from the benching of Bryce, and going forward, Canales seemed to be trying to light a fire under Bryce. I think Canales is trying to get Bryce to being a starting QB. I think its a lost cause. I also think Canales backup plan is Jake Plummer. Plummer played all 3 preseason games and has since been out of the picture learning. Plummer got to experience the NFL and can process what he learns with real experience. If Bryce doesn't work out, Canales doesn't have to go back to square one with a QB. He'll have a QB that's had a year to learn defensives, plays and schemes, in Plummer.

    Bryce has two wins against two teams at the bottom of the league, I wouldn’t trust that long term either. Until we win enough games where tickets aren’t going for $12 then Dave and Dan’s jobs aren’t secure. Follow the money trail to uncover the truth.

    Two things ima be eyeing for this game: that Chiefs defense because it was NASTY against the Bills until the 4th, and Dave's game management. I'm already worried he will abandon the run game early due to the Chiefs insane run defense, but we'll have to see. Praying that we get creative on offense but not cute, I don't wanna see a screen, jet sweep, or chuck down on 3rd and 22. To move on from him would mean you don't like Dalton OR Bryce. But, you have so many other roster holes to fill that going "all-in" on any QB right now just doesn't make sense. I wonder what the trade deadline of offseason trades would be in the works if they scrap both.

    When are you all going to talk about how bad your WR corp is?
    Other teams have former 5-star, super-high 4-star, high 4-stars, speed burners, Biletniikoff and Heisman winners, and guys from elite football programs.The Panthers are playing an undrafted free agent from Holy Cross who ran a 4.57 forty time and a 3-star guy from SC. Now they get back a 33 yr old WR who hasn't made a pro bowl in 5 or 6 yrs.
    Your WRs are young and not good Talk aboutt that. The bright spot is the former Five-star TE.

      It's astonishing to me how you all think these receivers are remotely close to the receivers that other QBs have around the NFL. It's remarkable.

      @Philthy_Collins They're old and injured. All over 30. What they can do is draft better. They got a 5-star TE that is balling. If you have an undrafted rookie from Holy Cross who runs a 4.57 forty playing, you're screwed.
      AJ Brown, Devante Smith, Deebo, Higgins, Dk Metcalf, Nico Collins, Diggs, Lamb, Chase, St. Brown, Smith-Njiba, Harrison, Jr, Waddle, Cooper, Jameson Williams, Malik, etc. are former 4 & 5-star recruits. Draft better.

    • @TheFanRookie
      @TheFanRookie 2 дня назад +4

      Star-rating doesn’t matter in the NFL. Legette is 9th among rookies in receiving yards, Coker 11th, and JT Sanders 12th.
      Jonathan Mingo was a 4-star from a good SEC program and ran a 4.46, yet he got bypassed by Coker on the depth chart, and Mingo doesn’t even have a TD catch in his career.
      The WR group is not complete, but there’s young talent to build with going forward. They could use a true deep threat, but this group is far from trash.

  • @johnjohn0
    @johnjohn0 3 дня назад

    The Carolina Panthers have a horrible WR corp. They've had one for 2 yrs. That's one of their biggest problems.
