I did. Looks identical. I got mine from aliexpress for $89. It did bring the antenna adapter and the steering wheel controls worked just fine. Took me about 2 hours start to end. I also had to get an optical adapter for $73 because I have the bose system.
Hello, I bought the same one, it connects through the same plug as the one in the video, everything works well but I don't get audio, which could be I don't know how you were able to install it because within the same plug that I use, there are two without connection, the blue and the yellow. Can it help to know why you can't hear it, thank you, regards.
Very illustrative video. I want to replace the radio system[without GPS..etc] with an Android unit. With my Bose system, do I need both the Fiber optical decoder and Can Bus decoder or just either one of them. Please enlighten. Thanks.
I don’t want to share misinformation but everything you see in this video is all I did for mine. I don’t have the Bose system though so likely don’t have the Fiber optic line?
Hi. Did you solve your steering wheel keys? I installed same one, but steering wheel keys are not working. Technician said, your battery is drying because of Android player.
No I did not. I just left it as is. To solve it, you have to purchase their doggle bus add on which should solve it. Have you tried that yet? It’s about $30
What happens to the vehicle info and/or settings that you would normally access through the factory PCM unit? Are they gone forever? Trying to figure out an aftermarket head unit install for my Cayenne 958.
What kind of vehicle information specifically are you referring to? My dash cluster still shows all the standard information when I am toggling through the settings (i.e., MPG, tire pressure, miles until empty, etc.) but the steering wheel keys no longer work such as volume up/down or track change. This can be fixed if you buy the additional decoder toggle, which I did not. For under $200, this was well worth it for me to modernize the inside with Apple Play. If you decide to buy, consider buying it from my link. I get a referral if you do :- ). No biggie if not though.
@@512TXSDIY Thanks yeah I think I misspoke or you can sorta disregard... I realize I have a 958 whereas this video is for a 957 model. I think they started adding more stuff to the PCM for my 2011 Cayenne.
Tackling this over the weekend. Thanks for the video
Sweet! Did you end up getting the same head unit as me?

@@BSA210 Nice! I need to set time aside to get my steering wheel controls to work again.
At first they didn't work, but then they did. I'm not sure which connection it was but just made sure everything was plugged in correctly
Did you figure out the antenna? It's possibly your kit was missing some harnesses. My kit did bring the antenna adapter
Im not sure why my speakers are not working with this setup. Any tips maybe?
I haven’t experience that at all, I’m sorry! Anyone else have tips?
Nice post, love it so much~~Thanks for sharing!!!

The wiring harness are plug and play so I would perhaps check each terminal to see if there is anything missing. Start there?

@@512TXSDIY Thanks for the advice. I believe my sound system may not need to use the Fiber Optic decoder as well.
Nice work 👌🏾
So if I have the Bose setup I buy the head unit and the small box to connect to my amp/speakers?
Mine was plug and play. No additional augments were needed. The only thing for me was the steering wheel controls no longer worked.
@@512TXSDIY cool Beams, I’ve upgraded to the 992 steering wheel so no more buttons on that guy
@@frederickcook87 I bet it looks nice!!!!
@@512TXSDIY it does, makes a big difference in looks and feel. I posted pics on rennlist in the Cayenne section

I want to buy it but I don't see if they ship to Panama
That is a good question and I don’t have an answer as I do not work for them. I am in Texas.
@@512TXSDIY gracias
I am from Panama. I do not live there but I know how to get the product to Panama.

It is kind of buggy but for what I paid, it’s worth it. Are you thinking about getting it?
