    I know I’m a few years too late but that speaker grill on the dash has two t20 torx screws holding it on behind the dash vents. That’s what it was so hard for you to pry off lol.

    you also broke the 2 studs from the panel above 8 min. range. the are 2 screws behind the ventilation unit. you have to pop it out with the plastic crowbar and gently pull it out there is still a wire behind the panel and it has no slak so becarefull. after that twist it 90º and you can reach the screws.

    How do I get sound ??? I didn’t have the original nav system so I had to get a MOST HUR 155 kit everything comes in just no sound

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  Год назад +1

      If you have a stock ext amp you need to hook up the fib optic cable that comes with the kit

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  Год назад

      I may have misunderstood the last question . Sorry . You have the finer kit so likely the trigger wire to the amp from the head unit isn’t hooked up or something else minor . I don’t have the Bose so I didn’t have the ext amp issue . Yellow black is the owner trigger wire to amp from your most connector . That wire should go to the factory amp trigger wire , not sure the wire colour but you should be able to google a pin out for the wiring of your original stereo to find the matching wire

    My Cayenne uses the Bose sound system[not surround system!]. Whereas with your Cayenne, you didn't use the Fiber Amplifier Optical box yet you can operate it with audio! Looks like the optical box is not must whilst you have discarded it. Please enlighten. Thanks for the splendid video and Surely many people like to see.

      I believe ( maybe wrong ly) the fiber optic on the non nose in only for cd changer which I’ll never use so I didn’t attach the fiber optic connector . It come with it in case you need it

    I was wondering that how the heck I connect the factory connectors to my new head unit, but seems that the proveded classic ISO -connector is there without a reason and I can leave it without use.

    Wow. Very good illustration. But I don't see the connection of a Fiber Amplifier Optical Box for bose system! I saw the Canbus somehow. Can you help?

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  Год назад

      There is included the fiber op connector I didn’t use it . I don’t have the Bose system so the amp on my stock head unit was internal . At least I believe it is . Now I’m wondering.. gonna check

    Does anyone know how to set up the can bus decoder? Got the one included with the unit and my steering wheel controls are no longer working with the new unit.

    • @seanlockhart8768
      @seanlockhart8768 11 месяцев назад

      Trial and error for me (‘08 cayenne base)
      Assuming wiring complete (white plug with tx/ex into head unit from CANBUS adapter)
      -settings->car settings->factory (126)
      -CANBUS, select the first Porsche in the list (28?), type 0
      -oTHER, there is a steering wheel element in the list, choose CANBUS (not SWC)
      The H2 manual appears to not align with this unit at all. The steering wheel learning assignment tool was not used (won’t even open), the MMI mimics what you are listening to, and the volume/mute works. bon chance.

    • @theonlybucko
      @theonlybucko 11 месяцев назад

      @seanlockhart8768 "MMI"? Sorry, not familiar with the acronyms... I followed your steps, and it isn't working still ☹️. Does "knob mode" in other have anything to do with it?

    • @seanlockhart8768
      @seanlockhart8768 11 месяцев назад

      @@theonlybuckothe display in the dash between the speedo and tach is sometimes called MMi, and mine will show what the radio station is tuned to, or if I have CarPlay pushing Audio it shows “other” (very top line of the display).
      There are a Lot of variables; wired correctly, powered correct, correct equipment, and then correct software configuration. This fellow even suggested his buttons were not working anymore! Good luck!
