Honestly with the sheer amount of FNAF fan games out there, one based on Jungle Jims and Stew Leonard’s is honestly a pretty creative and novel idea and surprised it hasn’t been done before.
Yoooo, I wasn’t expecting the Campbell Soup Can to be here! But yeah, Jungle Jim’s is really cool. I was never really terrified by the Campbell Soup Can, but I can see why folks would find him creepy. Also, Woody the tree kind of reminds me of that one tree animatronic at Efteling.
Very nice work on the video, glad you could use my footage! I can deffinetly say Singing Sam CRUSHED that spot, I mean, I don't find any animatronics scary, but god, he'd be my pick on that too. It's like the Lion of Gripsholm Castle.
I'm guessing the spider anamatronic is meant to be Arachne. In Greek mythology, she was a boastful weaver who challenged the goddess Athena to a weaving contest. When she lost, Athena turned her into a spider for her arrogance. That's my guess anyways
That original gorilla animatronic on the piano looks like something straight from Sam Raimi's Evil Dead. And that one with the skunks squirting you was definitely an original idea. Whether you like getting hit with water from that area of an animatronic or not. Definitely a travel story when you get back home.
Although I like the new Sam design, I do feel sort of bad for the old one. Poor guy was clearly not being taken care of and it breaks y heart seeing things created to cause joy and wonder become nightmarish
While I do admit the Avocado Girls are very uncanny valley, I do love the rest of the Stew Leonard's animatronics. ESPECIALLY the Farm Fresh Five! Not only do they have cute designs in my opinion, but they remind me of Veggietales, Kitchen Kabaret, Food Rocks, and The California Raisins [I'm surprised the Raisins never had animatronics given how huge they were during the 80s]. A Stew Leonard's video would be amazing IMO, maybe I'm biased because of my adoration of the Farm Fresh Five and anthropomorphic food characters. I love anthropomorphic food characters and can't get enough of them. Honestly, I wish Disney could make an updated Kitchen Kabaret/Food Rocks hybrid with characters and elements form both shows, that would be a dream come true for me!
Jungle Jim's is a really cool chain of 2 stores. Besides all the wacky animatronics and a working monorail at the main location, they have very well stocked selection of specialty and international food. Like I just picked up some Ube flavoring for my coffee my last trip from their Philippines section. And the best part? They are very competitive pricing wise too.
Wall Drug is a fun place and I've been there once. Their claim to fame is free ice cold water and they do not disappoint. Also worth mentioning is they have a vintage animatronic cowboy band that was apparently somehow stolen from a department store back in the day.
I have crippling arachnophobia and I went on that Greek mythology themed dark ride once. Once was more than enough for me because that demonic spider thing terrified me so much! 😱😰
so, i already have issues with those industrial like ceilings in stores...it freaks me out for some reason....but watching that can swing slowly infront of it....nightmareish... also singing sam is definetly the most disturbing animatronic ive ever seen....the better kept one is not as bad, but the ape shadow illuminated by red light while sam slowly turns to look at you? satanic..... 12:44 .......o_o
I did NOT expect to see Stew Leonard’s in one of Theme Park’s vids but I’m so glad it did. Makes sense since he’s a Connecticut resident. Used to go to Stew Leonard’s all the time as a kid. Please cover them for a video!!!
I’d like to give a shout out to the animatronics in The Atlantis Show in the Shops at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas. Stumbled upon them when I was there a few months ago, and was very disturbed by their jerky movements, expressionless faces, and the fact that one of them is wielding a flame thrower.
Our West Edmonton Mall Scotiabank movie theatre (used to be Silver City) used to have an animatronic dragon in the lobby. She was on top of the main concession. Down the long hallway, there's a smaller concession with two baby dragon heads on top. It's not being used, but the babies are still there. The big concession was moved to the wall and the dragon, named Excalibur, was removed. She used to terrify me as a kid (hid in the bathroom), but then I fell in love with her. No maintenance was done on her and because she was above the concession, her skin attracted oils from the food and I heard it would fall onto guests making it a health hazard. Still, it was sad to see her go.
Always enjoy your videos when they appear in my subscriptions! In a world full of bad news and reactive media, your channel really stands out. Just feel good vibes and interesting facts. :)
Singing Sam looks MUCH better when he's taken care of; still a bit strange and disproportionate, but definitely friendly. The Wall Drug one looked like a corpse...
I was wondering if Sam was going to make the #1 spot! Just got back from Wall Drug this Summer (I live two hours away from that place too) to visit our favorite T-Rex. I remember as a kid in the 80s thinking Sam was TERRIFYING!
Man, Martin Short loves appearing in theme park attractions. You used to be able to find him in Epcot in two different places as well as the problematic Busch Gardens ride!
I think the Greek-themed Laberinto Del Minotaur spider animatronic is supposed to be Arachne, a woman mythologized to be so good at weaving that she rivaled the Goddess Athena so Athena turned her into a spider! 🕷️🕸️🎃
You mentioned the Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk, CT, but I’ve personally been to the store in East Meadow, NY more times than I can count, and the Avocado Girls are there, too! They’re positioned on a stage directly above where you can find premade fruit salads, so at least they’re higher up.
I’m SO glad you brought up Stew Leonard’s. I’m very well acquainted with Norwalk as my dad’s family lives up there, and they often get groceries from Stew Leonard’s. Every time I went there the animatronics would terrify me- all of them, no exceptions, and I’ve always hated going to that store. As much as I like animatronics, to me they really don’t belong in a supermarket.
One thing that gave me nightmares as a kid are two different attractions at Germany's Steinwasen park. One of them was a now defunct darkride called "Sagenhafte Schwarzwaldbahn" (or something) but it terrified me with its simple yet scary animatronics. The park also had a walkthrough based on animals from the the cold north and the ice age, including a big terrifying Yeti. Also, we do have stores filled with animatronics over here in the Netherlands too, the Hoogvliet stores have them. I don't know why, but I do know that their songs are on spotify so that is neat
Also, my favorite unsettling animatronics are ALL at Storyland! The Sunflower, Tim Tree, Humpty Dumpty, the vegetables... I am so drawn to unsettling animatronics and I was truly blessed to have frequented a place to find them.
@rosykindbunny1313 fr idk what it was about tree animatronics but i was so scared of them as a kid. the one at storyland, the one at the christmas loft down the road from there, and of course tracy tree from the rainforest cafe. but i've grown to love them now haha
I must've seen the updated version of Singing Sam when I was a kid, as I don't remember him looking so stilted when he was playing his piano. From my memory, he actually looked like he was playing the piano. Interestingly, this gorilla is my clearest memory of the Wall Drug Store. I don't even remember the T-Rex, which, from the footage I've seen, seemed to have been intentionally added to scare kids.
The original singing, Sam used an actual gorilla carcass if I remember correctly, which is why it ended up looking so freaky. it’s definitely disturbing but I find the avocado girls to be even worse
Been a massive fan of your channel for a long time and beyond honoured that you asked to use some of my content in your latest video! Love a good (or terrifying) animatronic!!!
Glad to see Bubba and Ricochet mentioned somewhere! I visited them this August and was surprised I'd never heard of them before. My first thought was that they had taxidermy parts for the faces, especially the jaw-sets, which wouldn't be surprising considering their location.
Okay so I live in Georgia and we used to have an FAO Schwartz. We had one of the clock faces there and it SANG. It would be quiet, sing, be quiet and sing again. They had their own theme song called ‘Welcome to Our World of Toys’
2:45 the can animatronic is HUGE in person! I had no idea it would be when I first visited Jungle Jims about a year ago. Thought it would be a more normal size for some reason lol. I had only seen pictures. I could NOT take my eyes off of it. So creepy.. I loved it 😂
I'd give an honorable mention to the "zombie boy" from the music video for Interpol's "evil". Apparently it actually got saved and restored but not sure. It is a CREEPY one, especially with the puppet-body below it (and the wires removed in the video)
OMG That soup can! I got real excited to see that in the thumbnail because I've actually been to Jungle Jim's quite a few times. I'm from central Ohio, so it's still a bit of a trip but it's still within reasonable distance. The place really is neat! I recommend going there at least once in your life. Love checking out the verity of snacks and sodas they have. They got a lot of stuff there. Anyway their bathroom are cool too. The entrance is designed to look like a port-a-potty.
I was never expecting alton towers to be on one of your videos. Alton towers is literally my one of my favourite theme parks because I live in the UK yay
Laberinto del Minotauro is probably the ride that started my love for dark rides and animatronics, the first time I rode it as a kid I was blown away. For a while now I have the theory that the Spider is a reference to the myth of Arachne, who was turned into a spider by Athena and is usually turned into a mosntruous spider in adaptations of the myth. PD In the past Terra Mitica had another (semi) dark ride El Rescate de Ulises, based on the Odyssey wich also had it's fair share of creepy animatronics and scenes, with some submechanophobia too, sadly it closed after the covid lockdown. And yeah, the park's history is...interesting
I loved going to stew Leonard's as a kid and at times there were many of the animatronics broken and frozen in a mid song pose and they looked the petrified into that position forever doomed to watch shoppers.
During the COVID lockdowns, I went to Jungle Jims Sept. 2020 as a way to get out of the house. That Campbell's Soup can is among the photos I took while was there.
I'd assume that the clock face might be somewhere non-public, if it's that iconic they probably didn't scrap it (unless it was worn out or so). Did you consider contacting the store/company and asking?
Wall drug was a place I went o every year! I don’t think I ever processed singing Sam maybe he’d already been replaced by then or maybe my parents were smart and steered me clear of him whenever we went but it’s so nice to see anyone talking about wall drug it’s such a fun place to go :)
Please!! Please do a Stew's video! This was my grocery store growing up in Norwalk CT. I got my first job pulling ice cream cones and making cow popcorn at the Danbury store!! So many great memories! Thanks for the great video!😊
I haven't been to Storyland since I was little, but I remember being really freaked out by the talking tree animatronics. Also, going to Stew Leonard's is high up on my bucket list.
I grew going to Jungle Jim's fairly often. It once started moving/talking while I walked under it and the scream/run away I did as a 9 year old embarrassed my mom. The thing that really freaked me out was the Robin Hood animatronic.
There was an FAO Schwartz at Circle Center Mall in downtown Indianapolis when I was a kid. The talking clock was the first thing you saw when you walked in to the store. Good memories.
The Shark one reminded me of that freaking bloody shark animatronic from Downtown Aquarium in Houston that scared the heck out of me as a kid! I have a lot of fond memories visiting there occasionally as a kid, and even helped me get used to the fun adrenaline feeling when riding the Lighthouse Dive back then! But the Shark Voyage train ride… ever since my first experience, I HATED that one train ride because of that freaking bloody shark jumpscare! I’m not kidding, that shark animatronic was a jumpscare feature with the bloodiest mouth I ever seen on an animatronic ever! And what’s worse is that I think that feature is still there today, with its mouth as bloody looking as ever!
Worked at Storyland over the summer, and I dreaded walking by Melody Farms because of Hap the Happy Farm Boy. If you want worse, check out the Farm Follies animatronic show at the park!
I work in a rec center near distortions main location, they donated an “elf” for us to use in christmas decor and it sent several kids home crying, we used to scare each other with it before it “disappeared”
Stew Leonard’s is a northeast staple! I’m from nyc and went there with my parents annually as a kid. I’m weirdly comforted by all the animatronics lol. PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THESE. the FAO Schwartz one took me back too.
Happy Halloween everyone! And happy Day of the Dead too!🎃🎃🦇🦇👻👻
Thanks you too :)
OMG NOOOO I LOVE THE SINGING VEGETABLES!!!!
The singing vegetables used to visit the Spencer Fair and also the Big E
Thanks Dude
0:40 Theme Park Crazy: At this rate i'm on my way to making a top 10 shark animatronic video.
Me: *I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK-*

Yessss you are correct
And the wise tree from the jungle restaurant at Disneyland or Disney world.
Man, Its been a while since I've been to Jungle Jim's but I still have a Pocky tin box I got there it's know a storage for my Pokemon coins
Same, maybe its just like Pino being a cousin of Big Bird but the tree at the Efteling being less creepy than his Woody cousin.
Big Carpetbagger fan. Love the fact that a lot of your footage comes from him!
Very nice work on the video, glad you could use my footage!
I can deffinetly say Singing Sam CRUSHED that spot, I mean, I don't find any animatronics scary, but god, he'd be my pick on that too. It's like the Lion of Gripsholm Castle.

I always though Hap the happy farm boy was a pumpkin with legs lol
Fruits and vegetables play together, I can see that Hap could be a pumpkin, lol
me too
or a peach or orange
When I went I thought he was a mango😂
another funny thing about Knife Works, you can buy dinosaur fossils, various war relics, and Pokemon Cards
I'd love to visit. I love knives.

Ive friven past that mini golf course for the past 6 years and didn't realise theres animatronics there. Gonna check it out!
Singing Sam is pure nightmare fuel. The arms give me the heebie jeebies
For me it's the way he slowly turns his head to show his really uncanny face and his wide open jaw
Singing Sam reminds me of Fatz when he is decaying.
@@antonioscholten That’s so true.
FINALLY, Storyland is getting recognition in the mainstream Unsettling Animatronics community!!
OH MY GOD SAM IS HORRIFYING
i never thought i'd wish a thumbnail *was* AI
