I've kept tea lights over the years. And now I want some Folgers coffee containers after seeing what you have done. That really gave me ideas for housing for my little Transformer minicons. I've been miniature painter for years and have done some simple stuff on my minis to help create little scenerios on their bases. Then my husband took up 3D printing so for my 6 inch Transformers I've been getting their bases and stuff together. I didn't know there was such world as world building out there till I saw Skybottom. But also loving your videos too.
Jason, Thank you for another inspirational video. Your techniques and use of what most of us would consider "junk" is amazing. when you have finished, the bits blend in amazingly. Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
Battery tea lights, genius! I'd never thought of it, I've used a lot of Christmas LEDs that come on copper wire powered by watch batteries, trouble is you gotta thread the whole lot through whatever model I'm making. The layout looks fantastic!
Jason, I'm always a fan of your videos, as they never fail to inspire my own creative impulse. That said, I just also wanted you to know that, in all the political madness and unpleasantness in the world today, watching one of your videos is like therapy for me. Your calm, friendly presentation and step-by-step creation process always provides a wonderful break from all the bad news. Thank you.
This project is so awesome Jason! I have been looking forward to the next SciFi video! Sorry I have been absent a lot for the last few months. A lot going on, and my Mom is not doing well. She is in congestive heart failure and my sister and I are just trying to do everything we can to keep her comfortable and out of the hospital. I'm so glad to see you well and still hard at it! Lisa
So great to hear from you Lisa!!! Sorry to hear about your mom. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts. Please remember to also take care of yourself. Thanks for watching, I always appreciate it!
@@JasonJensenTrains I'm ready to get started now. Just don't have the time at the moment. I was gone on a deployment for 7 months. Takes almost as long to get things back to normal when I get home bc the projects just pile up when I'm gone
@Phil Leonetti Jr. actually the room it's going in has to be remodeled first and right now thats just not a priority as i have other more pressing things to do. trust me it's going to get done.
Hi Jason, i am a Star Wars fan since the first movie! I like your layout too. You should get a job at Lucas Film or Disney! And: nice T-Shirt! Greetings from Franconia, Manfred
Hi Jason, I love both your layouts. I will be using some of your techniques on my wargaming scenery. I think it's about time you added a Patreon for those who want and can afford to help. One thing I would say though is it's really difficult to find it, you literally have to go to patreon and search for you. A lot of content creators pop the link to their patreon in each of the video descriptions and then do a reference in the video to the fact the link is there. I think this would make it easier for people to join if they wanted to. Happy Modelling.
Thank you so much Neil!!! I truly appreciate it! I’ll put a link in upcoming videos to make it easier for people. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!!! 👍
Hi Jason This is coming along so well. This diorama to display your Sci Fi figures and equipment is great. I starter's watching this series with some cynicism when you mentioned it would basically be built from "junk", but it is going from strength to strength. It is very, very impressive, but how will you prevent it becoming a dust magnet? Well done you.
Thank you so much Kevin!!! I really appreciate it! Dust is a constant battle but the key is to keep air movement around it like simply running a fan once a day. Thanks for watching!!! 👍
Hi ya Jason. That section is really coming along nicely. Who knew space would be so rusty. Lol. I like the fact that the different levels have different lighting. I have question. The “ tea lights” need to be turned on by a switch, right? Do you need to remove them to turn them on? Just curious. Thanks for the update. I always get excited when a notification comes up for your channel. Take care. See ya next time.
Thank you so much Norman!!! Yes I have to turn them on manually every time. It’s only for photographing it or showing it to a visitor. I always appreciate hearing from you!!! 👍
I have some things that you might be able to use on your layout. They are plastic and went on my pens for my insulin, I just can't seem to through away things that I see as usable. If you would like them let me know, and I will send you some photos of them, and if you want them, I;ll mail them to you. It is better to use them, then to toss them in the trash...Lee.
No thanks, but thank you so much for asking. I now have boxes and boxes of plastic parts. My wife is now saving every little thing for me, LOL! I have so much stuff! Thanks for watching!!! 👍
MORE SCI-FI PLEASE!!!!!!
BEST SERIES EVER!!!!!!!!!

Everything takes so long because of how big it is especially after working on my HO scale layout.
Nice work. Looks great. The only thing I do not like about tea lights is turning them all on and off.
Thank you so much!!! Yes, I agree, it does take a little time to turn them on and off. Thanks for watching!!! 👍

Haven't had anything that size, as yours. Since around 1955, when I was given a Davie Crockett (with all his gear, including Coonskin cap).
