Stop being overdramatic. If you love the story so much, i suggest you start looking around the map. Like, who is the wanderer? What does the wanderer looks like? What caught the attention of the inhabitants of the map that even the frog statues that were getting married stopped their wedding to look at with a telescope? Is the fact that Midas returned means that they will slowly bring back the old characters when the story requires them?
Basically what i am telling you is instead of repeating what every other people are saying, start asking question, read npc dialogues, look at the map itself at different locations, doing so will definitely lead you to the story. After all Fortnite's story is always directly told to the players.
@gtuesday I did, but all I want is an event even if it's small like the pandoras box event, but the closet thing to an event that was interesting was the Big Bang
We skipped a big battle with Cado thorne and had nothing but yapping and some boss fights...cool
Where's the pizzazz of a big event pre collision season, Era? Where's the IO? Where's all that? We saved peely, glanced over that whole event, and now have some Greek gods and mythos siding with us against zeus....cool
Are we gonna have a galactus level battle or another third partying level boss fight where another player ruins my fun?
All I've seen was promising themes but no extra sauce, just a burger with no sauce and ok seasoning

@@HypaTaiga Give them time. Not every story begins with a bang or should have crazy moments in them, otherwise it might get boring fast. Chapter 5 is a reboot of sorts, so i think they are taking their time to set things up for something great.
As for the IO (Imagined Order), they where taken down in previous chapters (not sure though), the Peely kidnap was a distraction by Valeria to try and get Jones and all his the knowledge he has due to being alive so long.
The Kado Thorne battle was handled badly, i'll give you that. But don't expect every moment to have a mini/big event. It would get boring so fast if they keep giving events after events that are supposed to be better than the last but really isn't because we got too much events back to back. It's basically like the battle Goku gets into, sure he might get beaten but any suspense or tension on the viewers part isn't there because we *know* he and/or his friends and family will pull out this amazing power out of nowhere and defeat the bad guys.
As for the "another player ruins my fun" part... well, what did you expect? It's a BR match, people are gonna do what usually is done in these types of games.
I have nothing against you but i do have a problem with people who expect every moment in Fortnite to be bombastic and crazy big with mini/big live events every moment. Let the story developed little by little and the build up to something crazy happen at it's own pace otherwise it'll be ruined because people wanted to rush things just so that they can get a live event.
I mean, we literally had one just 2 seasons ago. If Epic were to go back to their original Live Event pattern we would see one this season (not that we are going to I don't think).
I think Epic are unlikely to do super huge Live Events super frequently anymore though. They're just far too much work for far too little reward. Why put so much time and money into something that only like, 10 million people will experience and only like, 1 million will even bother to understand the deeper meaning behind? Why not put that time and effort into the main game itself which gets over 200 million players every MONTH?
It's a sad fact, but regardless of what you or I or any Storyline Fans think, Epic is a company and they tend to shift their supply to what the people demand. People don't play/ care for Lore and Events? Guess we shouldn't prioritize that as much. Almost half of Fortnite Playtime is in Creative Mode? *That's the future baby! Get to work fellas!*
Though, that isn't to say there's ZERO Story/ Plot though. Even during Epic's focus on The Metaverse we still get plenty of Lore through map changes, questlines, voice lines and so on. Last season we got our first Mini-Event in YEARS! While I don't think we're going to ever return to the heights of "Live Events every 2 seasons" like before, it definitely seems like Charlie Wen is making the most out of what he can. And that's plenty good enough for me. (Especially if there's more mini-Events)

Because I've talked to all the NPCs and done all my story quests so far and I have no clue what you're talking about. (Genuinely asking, not trying to be rude). So please tell me where I can learn more about this Wanderer guy?
Also, I think the return of Midas just means Epic wanted to give us some Nostalgia since he IS an incredibly popular Story Character and because it's a Greek Themed Season. Though I DO think he's going to return once again sometime, whether in a future BR season or possibly in a new Open-World Mode?
