Wonderful contraption. I sewed up a ripstop bag to hold mine upside down. Also, I found that a 2-1/8" ID, 2-1/4" OD O-ring from the plumbing section of a good hardware shop works great for sealing the big adapter to the Nalgene soft canteen.
Hi Bill: I've used this several times in the field and haven't notice a taste problem yet. I'll be aware of the possibility though and see if I need to modify it.
Hey Greg Thanks for the video. You got me thinking. I had a old Katadyn Base Camp witch is 2.6 gal it's a dry sack design gravity feed filter. I tried a nalgene wide mouth bottle cap to see if it fit the bottom of the base camp bag and it fits! Cool!! Then I fit up a hose from the cap to a sawyer mini. The Katadyn bag is vary EZ to fill and hang. Now I have a light weight set up that will filter 100,000 gal. Instead of Katadyn's 200 gal throwaway filter. Nice!
A tip on water removal from filter: remove squeeze bag, drink with force the remainder of the water within the filter. Voila! Much less water in the filter, and no shaking!
The blue cap is for 63mm mouth openings such as Nalgene, Jetflow, Lifeline, and Outdoor products. The smaller red cap is for many 20z bottles such as Gatorade, Sobe, and Vitamin water.
I wonder if the bags have improved since the making of this video? Cnoc look like a good bag but they are nearly $30 which seems a bit steep. The filter does screw straight onto the bag without any extra fittings. Extra fittings can be a pain in the ass, especially when you can't find them.
Searching for Jetflow Adapter gives me a web page but it also says that they're out of stock. I would email Jetflow and ask when they are available. Good luck!
Got all the parts, put it together, and it works like a charm.....thanks!
Excellent. Ordered my converters and have all the other needed parts on hand. Of course my sink will leak now but who cares!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!!! I'm planning a thru hike of the AT and you just solved my filtration dilemma! Awesome video!!

Awesome Information, thanks for sharing. I like that Jetflow adapters are only $14.99 with free shipping!
Priceless! Do you know if all of the bathtub drains require the same gasket, just wondering . Thanks
Thanks Greg. Got the jet flow adaps today. I have the sawyer squeeze also. I like the mini to but fore extended tough times would prefer the squeeze.

David. It's just the Jetflow Adapter pack. No part number. It comes with two adapters and you use the larger blue one.
Great Info! Thanks!
