Yeah, it could be a little frustrating having to deal with that aspect. I think you’re allowed 100 credit by liking photos each day, an additional 50 in the generation tab and then you can also get 10 more credit by adding people so total you can acquire around 160 each day if you choose the free route. (you could however make many accounts cough cough)

As for their terms and services in regards to what’s not allowed you need to look it over. like many other business models, they offer a free option that has limited uses. they have a paid option there as well so it really comes down to your needs
I'm an artist and I'd like to train an AI with my own style / own drawings. If I ever upload my artworks directly to civitai, I supposed they'll be automatically scrapped ? thanks !
@@m.p.1131 not necessarily. you’re unintentionally making two different points. if you’re trying to protect your artwork there are tools that can “mask” if you will what the actual artwork is like “nightshade”. so if anyone were to try to “scrape” your art to train nightshade makes it impossible for the AI to understand what it’s actually looking at. So if you are trying to train a model on a cat, It will think it’s looking at a tree or a building for example.
@@m.p.1131 2nd There is more than 1 way to train your own model, civitai is just a hosting platform that offers that as an option in addition to hosting. you can train it locally on your own machine depending on how powerful your computer is, it might take a little longer, but there’s no worry for it to be sent anywhere to be “scrapped”. And additional larger point you’re bringing up is that major companies like Microsoft and Apple are both rolling out updates to their latest computers that have built in keyloggers that are scraping all of your data and there’s no way to opt out from this at all. this is way more concerning to me Than AI “scraping images”Microsoft and Apple will be scraping the entirety of all of your activity, every website, every key, photos, music, patterns, habits, anything you have on those devices. Selling it to consumers like they are offering you “better ads” and a more “user tuned experience”. The frustrating part just like the point that I made in my last video is there should be tools to protect you just as easily as there are tools to train and it’s a bit negligent for major companies like Apple and Microsoft to be doing this without giving users the option.
