I feel as though I’m the only one who loves those backspacers. I was really weirded out at first, but after the third or fourth time looking it over I chocked it up to whimsey and loved it.
In Spyderco’s defense, I dig the plain cardboard boxes regardless of the price. The less packaging and waist is produced the better. Got my Techno 2 delivered earlier this week and I think it’s a great knife. Thought I’d have to get used to the green standoffs but for some odd reason I kinda like them....color of choice would still be blue I guess but the green isn’t too bad looking in real life. Glad they didn’t use a black backspacer like they did on the Slysz bowie but worked with the open construction. Price over here in Europe is around 250€ but hey all Spyderco’s are way more expensive over here 😉
Really look forward to the 3 way battle. I absolutely agree that on the higher end Spyderco knives should come in better packaging than the more affordable Spyderco’s. A knife pouch would be a step in the right direction. I’m a green scale, liner type of guy but I know many that don’t like the OD’s or any type of green. Keep up the awesome work!
Man, I love my chef... At first I thought it was a bit of a novelty. I was really enamored by my pm2's action, but the ease and worryfreeness that comes with the chef sold me. Love the curve of the blade, super useful.
Slicey Dicey well some people think they are aluminum and can’t be easily anodized. But just polishing and a few minutes will leave them silver. Easy easy japaneseee
I would love to see a Techno 3 that was about 3/8 longer and a bit thinner (bladestock & scales). I know it’s not the niche they’re going for, but it would be a great knife. XHP rules, BTW.
Been waiting for this review from you!! Can’t decide on this or the bestech engine or goblin. I know the prices are far off but I can only afford one at a time lol
Rather have a choke-up choil on a knife that size...like my Engine, Goblin or Suru.... The Roxi looks waaaay more appealing too...than this knife..."to me".
Received mine today. It has the Chris Reeve quality. This is an epic knife.

Three way battle to the death should be pretty cool. Looking forward to that.
I think the green standoffs are great. Love them on the Benchmade 940-2 also. I think purple would be even better!

Your killing it with all the awesome blades featured on this channel!
The blade finish looks the same as the Southard.
Very choad like. I'll see your blue back spacer and raise you some red stand-offs!
Excited to see a Techno 2 on your channel!
Wish this was in the 3.0"3.25" range.

Cool little knife as I dig the size of it just not the size of the price....LOL...Good stuff.....
Cool little knife. Just don't see myself using it. The SpydieChef on the other hand looks awesome and certainly more of a user.

@@jesser8369 the Chef or the Kapara? Leaning towards the Kapara for next month's purchase. And a Mini Crooked River for March.
Green will polish right off and can be reanodized
Obviously, but I don't like that I'd want to mod it out of the box.

@@mforrest1508 what do you use to polish these?
@@bergolios anything. green stropping compound, simichrome, white cpmpound, anything meant to polish. flitz is popular
@@mforrest1508 Thanks! Any suggestions on what to use with the medium to use with the polishing compound? Cloth, toothbrush? Sorry new to this..

I’m totally down with the green. Colorways are a preference, nothing more, nothing less. Thanks for the review!
BTTD: Techno 2 vs Lil Native
Don't have the Lil Native anymore and the Techno 2 costs about twice as much.
I prefer the Spyderco Techno over the Techno 2.
Never held the OG
Great review. Can you do a comparison of the Techno with the Benchmade Mini Pocket Rocket Or the Micro Pocket Rocket? Keep up the good work!
I don't own either of those. The Techno was a loaner.
I’m between this and the launch 11 atm I want a cool
Sheepsfoot..

Or the roxi
I'd go with a Curtiss nano custom on bladehq; made in the USA for a few dollars more than the techno 2.
Everybody having a great night
Excellent review! Do you still plan on doing a WE Roxi disassembly?
Lil native for the win! So much more value at half the price. Btw, is it just me or is 6000 coming up rather fast? Killing it! 👍
Don't jinx me! ;)
Disagree on the green. I think it looks great. Blue would look “basic” and boring.
What in gods green earth were they thinking with those backspaces????
Anyone have a line on replacement backspacers?

Too much coin for what it is.
Would never buy this. It’s too small and way overpriced. Good video just not my kinda knife
The green standoffs look great! nice change from every single Ti knife with that same blue accent (boring!)
