The Rusty Box is based on the Traynor TS-50B amp, I think the power supply is 24v because it’s more of a pre amp (more headroom) than a pedal. I could be wrong but l believe that’s the case.
I have five EQD pedals four of them ran by a snark 100 milliamps and it doesn't seem to work very well but i can't find a voodoo lab power supply that draws 450 milliamps for my Avalanche Run. EQD should collaborate with a company that makes power supplies specifically for their pedals. i almost bought the pigtronix power brick...

The pedal dosen't work properly underpowered? "It is what it is"??- how about it weighs what it weighs?Or buy an $30 Radial ABY that will correct phasing issues, providing a much better sound? Don't get me wrong; appreciate his working, punk old school mentality , but it's just silly not to take advantage of cheap and cheerful solutions these days. Listening to Nick's Rundown, now I get what was going on with the sound quality.

Yes. It's very hot and can screw up a power amp with vol at max. It's a true preamp.
The linear notes for Rodan's Rusty album says something about that being Bob Westons nickname so thats a very apt name for the pedal.
