What are the rules for firing a cannon in Norway? i'm familiar with the gun laws but cannons are a bit different.

After the new gun law of June 2021, cannons are now considered as a gun equal with other hunting and competition guns in Norway. All cannons, large and small, must be registered and you must document that you have undergone safety training for the use and handling of cannons.

Suggest you don't put any part of your hand over the end of the ram rod. If it was to go off you'd loose much of your hand. If you do as I suggest you'd only loose the rod and and have some superficial burns.
