My western Kentucky Grandma used that word to describe super tasty delicious food... we all thought it was a "country" word, until we found out it was a Elizabethan English word, used even in a Shakespeare play... it had survived coming over with the English in the southern colonies... and lives in the lingo of the Southern USA culture!
