Question of the day? Is it possible for 55 mph winds to blow semi truck into other lane? Asking truck drivers
No
Yes
Yes
Depending on if your heavy or empty
Yes
Whoever gave a none English speaker a CDL should also go to jail
That would be regular dmv
Every truck driver that speaks English should file a lawsuit against FMCSA
Fairly recent indictments of state police in Massachusetts for issuing CDLs to unqualified applicants for surprisingly small rewards. One example was the LE getting regular bottled water delivered to his home. The transcripts are enough to turn your stomach. Just a stupid joke for them. (as they endangered the innocents)
As a mechanic I dealt with it three days ago. Had to use the phone to translate English into Spanish.
@@tylerrobinson6158the U.N. is behind the illegal mass migration
3 dead Americans run over by a driver that doesn't speak English and therefore doesn't qualify for a CDL. Who ever signed off on this man needs to also be held responsible
Yup they need to start going to prison because they are making a lot of money from these illegals
Welcome to bidens America! Only traitors will vote democrat again!
The UNITED STATES has no official language dummy. lol
Chicago companies are bringing them over from Ethiopia
Joe Biden family were killed by white American truck driver who was on drugs back in the 80s.
If he can’t speak English, how is he able to to read the English road signs????
Or understand his logs
bill of laden? Maps, ELD? Paperwork, tickets.....
Because rule of them is they are going to act dumb all of a sudden when question for wrongdoings they know how to speak English perfectly well to get over here I did a job but one question by any type of authority all of a sudden me know I’ll bless Ingliss which basically means feel sorry for me it’s not my fault you need to learn my language not me yours
and have Seizures
Or the signs of high wind advisory. Lol
There are thousands of truck drivers that can’t speak English or read road signs in America. If you’re on seizure meds you shouldn’t be behind the wheel of a semi.
If I’m not mistaken, if you have any history of seizures, and are on meds, that disqualifies you from driving PERIOD, let alone a semi.
Doesn't speak English then he shouldn't have a CDL!!!!
At least in the USA...
Sterling? Or Diy?
Cant speak engrish, no drivers license, PERIOD.
CDL arent only given to English speaking drivers dummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CDL are given in Mexico, CHina, Africa, Europe etc...
Didn’t come across the border legally therefore it’s not an American citizen,,,,LMFAO!
The COMPANY that hired him should also been on TRIAL and accountable for the 3 deaths, they put this guy on that truck... WTF !!!...
I'm guessing it was Prime or Swift. Globalist communist companies
Agreed!
Why
100 million per life sounds about right! I agree with you 100 %
A 55mph will certainly move a truck around, however unless the road was wet or icy not nearly that much, the bikes seem stable as well as the 4 wheelers. I’ve driven this road many times in a big truck, motorcycle or auto and yes the road can be tricky with sudden crosswinds & wind shift and so if he got in the beginning of a rollover, maybe. I’m sure the tire tracks will show much…
I am a CDL driver that TOWS trucks for a living and I have 2 motorcycles. This doesn't fly in my eyes. 55 mile mph gust WON'T PUSH A TRUCK OVER that far and he had time in distance to get back over if it had shifted him a 1/2 lane over. Also it would have affected the bikes MORE than the truck and the bikes were traveling fine. Wind is a great EXCUSE because you can't see it to prove it either way. If he couldn't speak English at all, how'd he pass a cdl test to read English for signage on our roads ?
Exactly. I hold both a CDL and motorcycle endorsement. If the winds were really bad enough to push a truck across 3 lanes, the people on the bikes would have pulled over. Even on heavy cruisers like that.
I’ve driven in 70mph wind in Wyoming I-80 and never swerved or got out the lane like this. This guy was on something
With empty dry van trailer?
@gentrest6421 There is signs that will flash telling empty dry van or refee to get off the road. Way before you get to the crosswinds. But you gotta be able to read and speak english for that
@@gentrest6421 from his picture alone I'd say he is familiar with dry vans empty or loaded. I would definitely have questions for a driver continuing to drive in those winds if he/she was having issues staying in the lane.

Prime inc does it all the time.
@@diannemc3179had a team driver get 2 days out before he could get to Florida DMV. Would have been 7 days but load fell through and dispatch screwed up.
@@jameswhittom22 OK then. Rules for thee but not for me
These CDL testers passing these foreigners need to be jailed too
I think it was the ones that test at the facility not at the dmv cuz no way they will pass him
They're being paid by the federal government to pass them
That’s exactly what it is but unfortunately they will be promoted because they’re doing their job
If a driver can't speak English how can they be allowed to operate an 18-wheeler on American highways?
Same way they allowed illegals to get in like Venezuelan
It’s getting worse every day with all these crashes.
Question of the day...how in the hell does anyone get a CDL without speaking English????
Same reason why 18 year olds can have a CDL, and the border crisis. "They" need cheap labor. Lower standards. Even the military is in on it.
The plan is to replace you patriots.
third party test centers
DMV offers test in all language
This is what I want to know as well
I'm tired of dealing with these non English drivers, they are getting worse
Actually? The old school white guys in the long nose pets are the worse.

Non English speaking, a CDL requirement, and medical card set to expire the next day. Why was this guy driving a CMV?
These people should not be allowed to drive commercial trucks
Once he entered the oncoming lanes why didn't he slow the fuck down
Intentional ! He was not even tilted .

Rumble strips are very loud and shake the truck
bc foreigners have audacity entitlement attitudes and don't respect anything nor nobody
Because he was not trained dumbass should never been authorized to drive a tractor trailer
So, a 35-year US born trucker with a blood pressure of 145 over 93 is disqualified, but this guy is legal? Hmmmmm?
Yeah, proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free. They are taking over.
35 Years of experience can probably drive a truck. Still safely having a heart attack.
yea i dont get it if you are at any risk of a seizure you should not be driving anything . common sense
Stop eating salty foods and take your blood pressure meds
I've been blown from one lane to another by strong winds on I-80 Wyoming.
If you're lightly loaded, yes a 55mph wind gust will push you into another lane.
Did it hold you there? I too got blown into the oncoming lane at 50 empty on I80 in Cali, but only a couple of feet and corrected in a matter of a few seconds. I think the real question should be whether or not the distance of departure and the time to return to the correct lane is reasonable at what distance of departure vs time to react at correcting the departure? What is your opinion on that consideration?, thank you for your time in advance!
Yes it is hard bc wind
how can a person that can't speak english and have seizures get a CDL?
My sister is epileptic and takes seizure meds and they took her regular drivers license just because of the seizures how the hell did he have a CDL
Right!?!?

I’m sure he just didn’t report he was on it
@S.Matt240 my sister's doctor reported it immediately and her license was pulled
@@rickywells8545 Yes, but if it’s seizure medication they won’t depending on the medication. Benzodiazepines are considered seizure medications and they don’t report them to DOT/DMV. Benzodiazepines are Xanax, Klonopin, adavan, etc.
Why was he in hammer lane going fast if it was so windy, he is wrong
Because in the country he grew up in you could do that Joe Biden crime family to make it so that we must adopt traffic rules of other nations real fast over here
You have a very good point...should have been in the right lane and driving a lot slower...and hazard lights would have helped....maybe he is trying to pull a fast one.... How can you get a cdl without speaking english? Can he read english? This is really very sad ...3 people gone just like that.... I thought if a person has seizures you can't drive..how can you? This is so beyond words..the dash cam... I am no scientist but it seems like from the video...the driver was in that oncoming lane for awhile smoothly...no resistance like trying to pull back into his lane....
Solemn.
The dude shouldn’t been driving the truck.
That’s a great point. Motorcycles have problems with the wind as well. Apparently unaffected
How does he have a CDL-A and he can't speak or understand ENGLISH??????

Yes 55mph gusts can move you over but that far into the other lane?!
That's when you slow down and get into the right lane.

The state that gave him his CDL should be held accountable and trucking company all should be sued
If you have seizures you shouldn't be driving a truck period. I bet he forgot to take his meds and had a seizure

I know people that can't have a basic license because they have seizures
That would have to be substantiated with official Doctora medical reports of the past and up to the current and if it is documented embarrassed by then he should not be allowed a CDL those are dangerous situation
Lost my CDL due to seizures . It's a 5 year wait to get back. I did get my driving licence back and had another seizure and was not driving . Licence got suspended again and have not driven a car since then . Just out of curiosity picked a random car to insure and insurance rate was 3 times higher than what it was . Could try and get it back but I know my brain could malfunction at any time and just not worth the risk .

Seizure free for one year and your license is no longer attached. That is the legal requirement right or wrong.

Who trained him for mountain and desert driving? High winds are common, I see these Nigeiran Princes pulling the Amazon trailers at break neck speed across I-80, on ice and in high wind conditions, and they rarely if ever slow down.
As a heavy tow truck driver I deal with way too many truck drivers that can not speak English and if they do it’s broken and hard to understand. Shut these guys down and you will see less crashes. I’ve worked 1 accident out of a few hundred and they all have always been some foreign guy that speaks no English.
What did the language have to do with the accidents? The accidents are caused by crappy untrained/skilled drivers or ignorant people. Not because of language.

😲😢 it's so sad that they let them operate trucks on the US highways without speaking English
Reading and speaking English is part of making a CDL in US.
There is a big difference to be in court and understand all legal/juridical issues and qualify for CDL level of English.
Yes because most of you speak English so damn well anyways.
Not according to the Joe Biden crime family
It has happened to me too, I was fortunate that it was on the Interstate & the state trooper was looking right at me. 55 mile an hour winds.
Am I MISTAKEN but I thought a RULE OR BY LAW u must SPEAK ENGLISH to obtain a CDL in OUR COUNTRY
A lot of those seizure meds make people basically intoxicated. Can't believe he could drive in those
Blood tests if not hair follicle sample test will be determined if they haven’t already been done with results pending
It has happened to me before twice. Luckily no one was around me and It took less than a minute For me to get back over in my lane both times. This is why I always tell people to pass a truck in 5 seconds or less; if you can not, stay back. Do not hang around a semi truck pay attention to what it is doing. People never do neither
Have strictly adhered to that advice since the age of 16. Occasionally a random tailgater forces an uncomfortable length of time while caught in the draft. The trucker is aware and will eventually slow enough to allow the pass.
This is frustrating to hear. In my area a CDL costs $5k and takes a month, or even weeks to obtain. How did this guy bypass all of that?!!!!
Having an interpeter at a felony court hearing is not proof that he was or wasn't able to speak English at a level where he can read and obey traffic signs and converse sufficiently well to be able to legally operate a truck. I know non english speaking truckers is a hot button topic and drivers should have a degree of proficiency to be on the road. If you were on trial in a country where english wasn't the main language, you would want somebody there to make sure you understood exactly what questions were being asked of you.
🙏🙏🙏 to the family that was lost
Not being able to speak English is an issue because if I go to another country and live and work there it is common courtesy to learn and speak the language. That would not be acceptable in another country.
Yes, please learn the English language. Communication is key.
May be not speaking English on a level require in court. And enough to qualify for CDL.
You know much about money, hiring cheap drivers, underpaying them. Nobody care about it and this is the outcome.
This seems like a replay of the horror that happened in Colorado....they really need to hold the trucking school the company and the state that issued the CDL accountable Im tired of this bullshit.... these Foriegners are literally getting away with murder
It’s scary how many trucking companies are hiring people fresh of the boat who never even ridden a car. If you are on the highway do not ride next to a truck. You will die. 55 mph wind gust will roll over your trailer
55mph gust will not roll your truck is over 40k GVW

The FMCSA has GOT to enforce this and make the states comply!!! I couldn't work as a driver in India or Russia without knowing the language? How come they get to drive here??
I don't know why you say that, but my first language is Spanish and all the level 1 and 2 inspections I have had have been in English, the DOT speaks to you in English and they don't allow you to use a translator. Just as long as you understand the DOT, the regulations and the police is enough. You do not need to have a degree in English to be a CDL driver.

Alex, I went through hurricane wins and I could still get my truck back in the other Lane. Never push me into the oncoming traffic. But I'm the right lane to the middle lane and I can still get it back. Yeah, it is something else going on there. 55 Miles I win. We just recently had that in the Midwest here. And I didn't have any problems. You could feel it hit the trailer and the truck but it wasn't moving. Into the other lanes something's really bogus there
You got lucky. It’s very possible
He was not allowed out there in the first place. Of course somehow no English means nothing. I had to meet all kinds of standards but it seems he got a least one pass. Over 33 years I never had to deal with a wind like that that I know of. I drove motorcoach, a 45 foot long straight truck with 55 people behind me. I can confirm that an unexpected wind gust will blow you across the lanes of traffic. I have owned trucks 60 years. I learned English in the first grade. When I speak English, very few people realize that English was not my first language. Back in the 1970's I hired some drivers that spoke broken English, but they spoke my first language so I could instruct them. But they could speak enough English to communicate. In fact they learned to drive a truck as American Soldiers in WWII. The past 35 years I would not consider hiring someone someone who required a translator. I am based in Texas and I have hired drivers whose Spanish was a lot better than their English, but in Texas Spanish is very common. About 10 years ago one of my Spanish speaking drivers was involved in a fatality. My insurance company used a bilingual lawyer and a fatality triggers a DOT audit. A bilingual examiner did the audit to make sure there were no misunderstandings. It was determined my guy was totally not at fault. Having lived in Texas for 80 years I have learned a lot of Spanish. And I have vacationed in Spain quite often and had no problems communicating in a basic conversation. As for the wind, my first truck that I bought used in 1964 had loose steering, no power steering, bias tires and no aerodynamics. I ran the Texas High Plains regularly where 60+ mph winds were common. Occasionally a. strong puff of wind blew me across the center strip for just an instant. But I got her back on my side of the road in a hurry. And these were very narrow roads. We have all seen videos of trucks going over in the wind, but there is no evidence from the dashcam that his rig was being laid over. I think the driver just drifted over on the wrong side of the road and apparently made no attempt to get back on his side of the road. The carrier's insurance is going to have a difficult time defending this one. The fact that he didn't speak English was not the primary cause, but it will make the defense more more difficult. Lack of experience was probably a big factor. And his prescription drugs may have been a factor. It is going to be a case where the carrier is going to be totally at the mercy of the trial lawyers. I don't see how the guy got a CDL and I certainly don't see that a carrier even considered hiring the guy.
I've been driving for 24 years and I have driven in all types of weather including high winds. I've never not been able to control my rig. It was very difficult at times but nothing like we see in this video. If the wind was that strong why was he in the left lane when he claimed the wind was blowing from the right? He was distracted, simple as that.
I’m in Wyoming I80 right now and yes the wind can in fact blow you over to the next lane depending on weight however why was he not in the far right lane. 2 if the wind gusts are to strong he should have stop earlier and he should have slowed down as soon as he felt wind gust and track back to his lane immediately! How long has he possessed his CDL? Maybe should have had more training as well. Either way he killed 3 people and has to face those consequences
You have ZERO BUSINESS driving whatsoever!! Keep it in your own lanes at all cost !! I have driven in 70+ mph before empty. Never have I crossed a lane with people in it !! I would flipped it first ! You new drivers are full of narcissistic crap !! Get off the road and let someone more responsible earn the living!! You have no business pushing a broom whatsoever kid !
The company that licensed him needs to be held responsible too
Something is definitely WRONG here! If there WAS 55mph winds, those motorcyclists would've been blown off the road to start.
Point #2 if it was that windy, ( I've traveled that section of road ) there WOULD be " HIGH WINDS ADVISORY " and high profile vehicles would be unable to travel. With this being stated, this driver is TOTALLY in the wrong and should be charged with vehicular Manslaughter.
Point #3 .. It even states in the Green D.O.T book, one MUST speak, READ, and understand ALL communication in ENGLISH.
Point #4 if the driver is using medication for seizures, why is he allowed behind the wheel of a 80,000lb truck? My personal opinion is this, if you suffer from epilepsy and have to take medication, you SHOULDN'T be able to drive OTR, maybe intrastate or local but definitely NOT OTR!
This outfit out of Michigan appears to only care about profits and doesn't care about safety.
I've been in wind that lifted my trailer tires off the road in Iowa.
Made me slow down and look for a pull off. Never moved me out of my lane.
Bogus, IMO.
Yes it can when having your feet up on dash holding phone in one hand watching phone other arm off your knee finger on steering wheel another words head up butt then high gust of wind hits and takes him time to get ahold of steering wheel
There's no excuse for being on the wrong side of the road for 15 to 30 seconds all he had to do was take his foot off the fuel paddle and go back to his lane.
Yes a gust of 55 mph can easily push a truck! But.....WTF was he doing cruising in the left lane? After the first gust he should have slowed his roll and stayed to the right. He deserves every bit of the sentence in jail. IMHO
Sometimes the choices you are given are from a list of zero good answers.
Yes the wind can absolutely blow you out of your lane but a clear minded driver would immediately slow down if not come to a complete stop. Especially if it was that bad. No way would a good driver fight against wind that literally KEEPS you in the other lane… that’d be like trying to drive through a fucking tornado.
Simply put and this goes for any truck driver, regardless of the wind why are you in the LEFT LANE with NO TRAFFIC? THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED IN THE RIGHT LANE LEFT LANE WARRIOR!
How in hell does he have a CDL can't read English !
The height of the trailer ,high profile vehicles catch the wind and you get pushed. The alerts ⚠️ tell high trucks your in danger in the wind. Especially in the mountains in the West.
Yep, but if you can't speak/read/understand English, all the warnings in the world won't help. All non-English fluent drivers must go. Commercial pilots must be fluent in English, why not enforce the dang CDL law.
@@grassblade63 I totally ❤️ Agree 👍 👌 👏 💯 🙌.
Just drove through Wyoming 70 mph gust signs stated High blow over rate and needed 50,000 GVW to proceed. I was 56k a lil light with sleat on the road and still remained in my lanes on straightaways and on curves. And Parallel to trucks that weren’t governed to 65mph. I call BS and that’s just his legal argument which doesn’t mean it’s the truth.
I'm calling BS on your statement..70moh winds and that truck never crossed the line? You lying bro!😂
Yes 55 mph winds can do that but it won't keep you there for 30 seconds.
I used to get heavy loads and drove in 50+mph winds. I now do LTL so I'm parked when winds hit 40 unless I happen to get 30k+ pound load. Strongest wind i ever dealt with caused plenty of tree damage and flipped an RV. I drove slow and utilized the first exit I saw.
