- This is the longest day hike you can take from the campground at Havasupai. The hike to the confluence is 16.5 miles. You visit Mooney Falls, Beaver Falls and the Colorado River along the way. Make sure to start the hike as early as possible to avoid the heat of the day and to get down the chains at Mooney Falls before the crowds.
Take plenty of water and snacks for your journey.
We stayed at Havasupai from April 6-9th

Great video! My fiancee and I and a group of friends got there on the 10th and left on the 13th. My dream was to hike to the confluence on the 11th, because my 50th birthday was on the 12th! I was the only one from our group that went. Thanks to a wonderful young lady who overheard me say this was my birthday wish at Beaver Falls, we made it out there and back together! We both got turned around at Beaver Falls and couldn't find the sign to the confluence. She asked some others passing by where it was, and she came back and got me, saying "This is for your 50th birthday, right? Let's GO!!" Lol! Absolutely challenging, but I'm with your guy... Go BIG or go home! lol! To me, it was well worth it, especially with all the contrasting colors, AND I saw two big horn sheep on the return trip!
It was such a visually stunning thing to see the line between the Havasupai Creek and Colorado River! Only con was we stayed only for 10 mins and I burned every ounce of energy from the food I had eaten that morning, so I had to stop and eat after we ascended the climb at Beaver Falls during the return! Oh, and we got turned around again at Beaver Falls and freaked out a little bit before finding the way up... But WOW, what a beautiful trip that was!! Best to you!!
Awesome that you got to celebrate your birthday there. Don’t get me wrong it was a nice hike. I think if we would have carved out some time at Beaver Falls I wouldn’t have felt like I missed out so much. I suppose the people that go to Bealls feel like they missed out on the confluence. It just means that I have to go back again someday.
Haha, yeah, my fiancée and the group spent the day at Beaver Falls. I had prepared myself to stay there and wait for them when I couldn’t find the sign. But they had a beautiful time! I got a few stunning pics of Beaver Falls but you’re right; next time I’ll try to spend a day there! I’ve subscribed to you guys so I look forward to seeing more of your adventures! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks for stopping by 🙌🏻
I got the visit here in 2018. Such a magical place. Didn't make it down the confluence, but now I'm bummed that I didn't!
You got to go before the insane prices at least. I want to go back again, but every year it gets more and more expensive. It’s almost as much as going to a five star resort ha ha
@@whereivebeenwandering Whoa, did not realize they had gotten so expensive. Wow. High demand place!
Great video! 👏
To be clear, she “kinda” said she would recommend to hang out at Mooney & Beaver Falls & don’t go to the confluence & he said yes go to the confluence?
@@crxk20r59 yes, depending on how much mileage you want to put on the legs that day!
Epic day hike. Bring snacks and trade for a beer from the rafters if you are lucky.
River beers are a great frosty reward for making it there
