  • My late grandma used to love Magole. Magole is a Swahili crepe made using flour sometimes savory with onions sometime sweet version with a little sugar and I personally like to add a kick of lime zest in the
Mix and then serve it up with extra sugar to get that crunch to the bite and a drizzle of freshly squeezed lime from shamba. PS my Late Grandma would always share her meals with everyone she would feed people anytime anyday in our home, I pray to be able to continue with that tradition as well, In sha Allah.
I did eyeball my recipe on this video but here’s one of our favs that will never let you down.
    We are back with #shambachronicles
    What you will need:-
1 Cup Unga Wa Dola All purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon Sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup Water
    Zest of 1 lime 🍋‍🟩
Vegetable oil for greasing pan (optional)
    Want to do:-
In a bowl mix all the ingredients until you get a thin consistency, Heat a lightly oiled griddle or non stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crêpe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Cook until the top of the crêpe is no longer wet and the bottom has turned light brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Run a spatula around the edge of the skillet to loosen the crêpe; flip and cook until the other side has turned light brown, about 1 minute more. Serve hot or warm.
