This show has always done a great job highlighting ingenuity, especially in the face of adversity. Seeing underdogs like Tim taking what everyone would consider a big hindrance and makin it into something?makes me wanna go "Murica"
I give Tim credit making his moonshine legit

This is how you know these dudes have a liquor license, he is working with someone that has a license and working in a licensed distillery. The dude would not be risking losing it by making moonshine. Even the dude helping by stirring the mash is highly illegal and grounds for losing ur license

Actually Tim owns his own distillery.....ans the others have deals for least likeness rights with a legal distillery as well. So yeah pretty sure they ain't moon shining in the real sense of moinshinin

Pretty awesome, this probably the CLOSEST you could get to making colonial era whiskey. Only change would be malted barley and you’ve got some of the first whiskey ever made in the US in Pennsylvania

In South Africa we call it mampoer uses disinfectant fuel and to drink rarest moonshine we have is called Black Mamba the bottle contains a small snake inside with the moonshine
single malt actually means its been made from malted barley from the 1distillery. A blended malt whisky is malt whisky blended from different distilleries. A blended whisky is one that contains more than one kind of grain, like malt and rye.
To be whisky it has to be aged in barrels.
What he is making, is a malt new make, or 100% malt shine.

I’m a Tequila drinker. I have tried moonshine from friends but didn’t really like it I think it was too strong taste like fuel. For the first time couple of weeks ago I try to barley moonshine it was very very nice .
I love Tequila and Vodka, but I got ahold to some what I call "drunk pickles" and they are awesome! It's pickles in moonshine! Me and my best friend can go to town on them now!
If you have ever drank a rum, whiskey or scotch, you have! Moonshine is where it all comes from.

I tried his first legal moonshine, a lot of other brands did moonshine or called it that. I would say his was less alcohol,but it tasted amazing! Compared to others, they are a lil strong but the flavors are off. But man. I loved Tim’s, I’m like, if this is what real moonshine should taste like but a lil strong. It’s amazing. Sadly I moved to Hawaii and can’t find this anymore, it was one of those good ones I wish they sold here.

True single malt scotch, other than having to be made in Scotland, is water, yeast, and malted barley. The still has to be made out of copper with specific dimensions.
I’m sure they’ll make a good single malt whiskey, but it won’t compare to scotch.

Mark Jeff and lance made “George Washington” single malt on the show already.. and all their barley sprouted because they spread it nice and thin.. Tim only had like 50% sprout because he had a 6” thick layer
