I fished a pro am about 15-20 years ago with him on the Delta. And he fished a tiny little 4 inch salt and pepper worm with yellow tail. He was on leaderboard first day. I lost a big fish and cost him the boat. He’s a good man and so humble for a top fisherman. Glad to see him win so many big tournaments!
Congratulations Wayne for a great accomplishment! If nothing else and not for ourselves let's fish for those that we can no longer compete with and against. RIP Dave and Jerry Woodard you will be missed...
I like how he's using what others are trying to get a way from if possible. Also the reel choice is interesting. Not expensive at all at 100$ and its a classic style reel. Interesting. Hats off to you.
This isnt the same Wayne B that was a skinny kid back in the mid 80s just starting his tournament career fishing west coast and won bass tournaments is it?? And you were partnered with my Pa George R ANderson- who was the oldest in the tournament and you were the youngest- at Clear lake? Cant remember if it was an open ,, pro am or what.. If so,, HOWDY Wayne..!
Fished the North Cal Open with him, he’s great stick and a wonderful human being!
People outside of California have no clue how good this guy really is...
dtack777 I envy you west coast fisherman. I fish the Ohio River and 15-18 lbs. is considered a clutch limit for $$$ in our dinky tournaments.
dtack777 or this lake in general
Wayn is best bed fisherman on clearlake, no doubt.

This man is a local legend among young anglers in the Kelseyville Lakeport area myself included great video of how it’s done on Clearlake

I fished west coast ProAm with him in early 90’s.
I'm a mile away from This lake
Wayne’s reel sounds like it has been into saltwater for 2 years 😂😂
I know its bad form to ask this but I have been trying to locate this area. Where is it?
That reel is legitimately older than you are. HAHAHA
Andy Mercado where on the lake?
keeps saying "I could have used that yesterday" like he got second place or something....
