- The Yamaha DGX-530 is strongly designed to be a learning tool. It has a lot of information and advice displayed on its screen, excellent computer integration and, understandably, less in the way of audio gymnastics.
if you press the pedal in while the piano is starting up it switches the polarities until you turn it off and on again
This is an excellent tip, I'll remember that for next time! Thanks
how do i get the sustain pedal? is it an accessory?
I love the EP sounds on this one.
The piano sound has a bit of modulation that you don't normally hear on other Yamaha keyboards
Finally someone does it right... :-)
Thank you sir :) #gearfacts
Thank you.
You're welcome!
You have less CPU bus bandwith available in the SWL, than in the SWX. This uses the SWL01
I subscribed because you responded to every comment 💯
Thanks for noticing, JK. It's a thing for me :)
Hi! Does it have upper/lower octave button?
How can you do pad and piano at the same time?
I think there is a button called "Layer" or "Dual" and if you press that button the screen will show the voice name of the layered sound. This can be changed, and your original sound should keep playing too. SO if you're on piano and you want synth strings underneath, press "Layer" (or "Dual", I can't remember what it's called) then change the voice to synth strings :) #gearfacts
I enjoyed it I might get one of these in my living room
Do you guys think I should get this piano or an Alesis recital piano?
I haven't tried the Alesis Recital but I have to confess I've become very distrustful of Alesis. They have some classic instruments but over the last few years they've released some absolute rubbish that's clearly designed to cut costs in any possible way. I know they are a business and they have to make a profit but it leaves the customer feeling uneasy. With Yamaha you have an absolute guarantee of a certain standard of quality. Good luck with finding what you need!
if you choose the dgx it will be harder to get because the dgx is discontinued but there is another piano by yamaha that is awfully similar, it is the ypg-535.
Nice good job my friend
I'm betting the CPU here has a software DSP
Cool very interesting
@@transforminggravity15626 He said that you don't have that many "fancier" DSP effects
Does this keyboard supports wave audio to play it from USB port
I'm not sure, you can read the manual on the yamaha website though :) #gearfacts
How to exit test mode :(
Plz tell me how can I make some shortcut for specific voice so that i can jump in to some tone without scroll or + -
I think there's a STORE button next to 2 memory slot buttons, probably on the lower right of the control panel. Hold STORE and press one of the memory slot buttons nd whatever sound you are playing will be stored there. It's the same for most yamaha keyboards.
@@gearfacts thanks for your kind reply, i also asked anoyjer guy he told me what to do, and i found it, right what u have said. First select the voice that u wanna store, then press memory button. Then press amd hold the bank 1 or 2 button where u wanna preserv, thanks however
how do you find the transpose function
#gearfacts I like it 😀
Me too :)
Hello and thank you very much for all the info !!
I have Yamaha DGX 530 and can not make it connect to Logic Pro or Garage Band where will allow me to create MIDI and score directly..
I was hoping not to have to save it on the Yamaha first but to use it the way I use my Kawai MIDI that unfortunately is not full size..
Please, let me know if you have Any recommendations ..
I begin to wonder if it’s not capable of doing that or
It’s me :)
Thank you
It can't connect to your PC with the USB socket?
No,
It’s seems to be recognized by the computer as Yamaha Portable Grant,
But when I start new project on Logic Pro or Garage Band
There is no sound going through the Program at all
I use Akai but it’s only 66Keys and was hoping to have full size Keyboard of 88 keys on the Logic Pro..
Hmm...
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program that is listed on the Yamaha website- nothing..
Hey man, having the same issue, did you figure it out?
Is this piano touch sensitive?
They are velocity sensitive, but not weighted like real piano keys.
Does the sounds run off the Motif engine?
Que año salio ese modelo
Does anyone know how much the piano weights just by it’s self without the stand?
• 11.0kg (24 lbs. 4 oz.)
Thanks!
Also, you screwed up the title. It says DGX-320, when it should say DGX-530
Thanks for pointing that out - you're my watchdog :)
Thanks for the comprehensive demo. Does this particular model have 1/4 inch output jacks that can be run to a PA system? Thanks
Yep, left and right
Did I hear a bit of Pink Floyd “breathe “?
You did indeed. I love playing that one, it's so easy on the ears :)
Gearfacts to me that song and album are a true masterpiece !
Yep, it deserves every bit of praise it gets
Really not a lot of help navigating this keyboard. Thanks though
It's all about the FUNCTION button, just keep pressing it repeatedly and you'll find 99% of its functionality in there.
