The great channel for learning fashion history is The Ultimate Fashion History
LOVE their content.
yesss !! my favourite youtube channel after yours of course !!
Yessss one of my favs!!
Aside from yours of course
This is just what I need, finding your own style is much more important than following trends!🦋
And much more fulfilling! So happy you enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️
The 60s and 70s will always be my main love but I also have to many 'aesthetics' to just stick with one, it's like having a different character based on your mood
Yesss I love it! So fun!
This video is genuinely very helpful! I was getting more interested in 70s fashion, but quickly found it restricting to only look for these vintage looks and never really knew what I truly wanted. I like some more 90s stuff too, which of course references the 70s a lot. I realised I don't want to truly dress vintage, I want my own style, and it's still a long way to go, but as you said it's a journey and I'm kind of excited to discover more.
Hey Devyn, I'm looking forward to the next wardrobe organization video. I find that type of content very relaxing for a reason and it's cool to see how the clothes collection / style changes and evolves over time . Are you planning something like that in the near future? Maybe as a fresh new year start or spring cleaning action?
Good luck with the album btw!
Thank you for all the love! Sending mine back
I am thinking about doing an updated house tour bc we just reorganized and a lot has changed I feel like. Kind of in the realm. I can do a closet tour too bc that’s all cleaned up and nice atm!
This is exactly what I needed! I have tried mimicking too many other people's styles because it looked cool on them, but it was never truly my own
Exactly!
Thank you for making this video! I think one of the hardest parts about cultivating your style and becoming more expressive with it is trying to figure out if something is really for you or if you’re just trying harder than you need to to emulate someone else because you like their style. Its meaningful to hear it from someone who’s such a style icon+inspiration herself!
I agree 100%
Thank you for this amazing video. I have been trying to create my unique eccentric style for years now and this is the video I needed. I overthink and over worry about the gate keeping and the strict fashion styles with the one style only thing. I love lots of alternative and vintage styles just like you and this makes me worry less about mixing and mashing up all of my favorites together into one because that feels like it would make me happier.
finding the style that best suits ourselves is VERY difficult, a huge process, i myself have been through the psychedelic 60s and went to goth a while later, i didn't fit in anymore because i felt limited and now I'm going back to colors and for the freedom of the 60s/70s, and for sure, you are an immense inspiration to me!!!! i've been following you since 2019 and without a doubt i love your channel and your person, changing is difficult, but when you feel... it has to be done!!!
yes yes yes to the hair you’ll be the twin of marie in daisies 1966!!! 😭😭😵💫😵💫
Yes!! I cannot tell you how much of a fashion revelation it was for me when I discovered the looks of Sally Field from Gidget, Marlo Thomas from That Girl, and Jane Asher (Paul's gf from the 60s). It was so perfect and so ME! Very casual 60s, yet also incorporating a level a class/femininity that was mod-inspired and VERY colorful. I would also would like to let other groovy babes know: YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN STYLE WITHOUT BREAKING BANK👏👏👏 I know social media vintage aesthetic gurus can make you feel like garbage because your clothes isn't "authentically-vintage" (aka a tad expensive). But do what works for you, and WERRRK BABES!! 🙌
You would look absolutely stunning with short hair! I would totally drop dead if you decide to go through with it, it's fun to change things up every once and a while
That's exactly what I thought! I'm excited:))
Soooo excited for the Album!!!
Me too AHHH! ITS LIKE A DREAM
Wow, you look absolutely stunning in this video! Your makeup, hair, and outfit are all on point.
My desired look is like very whimsical Barbie takes a trip 😆 (Barbie on LSD) more like.
omggggg I could totally see you with short hair, seriously like a flapper-esque haircut w the bangs would be 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
The eyes are very "Twiggy" Nice Look!
Love a twiggy lash!
I love your insights, Dev! My only fashion staple currently is my sick blazer/suit jacket collection. I will definitely be using these tips to discover my style more!
lovely video! I listened and crocheted. have a good day :) also cant wait for the album!!!!!!!!! If you guys go on tour I'll be there!
Hi Devyn! Could you answer a fashion question for me? So I see lots of pictures online of people in the 60’s wearing knee high boots in the summer with shorts and I think this look is really cute but the only pair of knee high boots I have are brown suede and I always considered suede a material you can only wear in winter or fall but is this true? I can’t really afford to buy multiple pairs of boots and I love this one pair so much I would like to wear them in all seasons and is that breaking a fashion rule?
Do what you want. People pay less attention to us than what we think.
This album release has got to be the most lucky and blessed thing I’ll ever witness omg 22222222 ✨
Omg your makeup!! I just got into doing/wearing makeup and now I want to try something like that 😍
