- Female manatee Daphne was released into her native Florida waters earlier this week. After being rescued by SeaWorld Orlando as an orphan in 2018 and spending a year rehabilitating at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, another U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership (MRP) participant is back in the habitat where she was born.

She will. There's no unattended human toddlers in the ocean. Unattended human toddlers are the leading cause of premature, yet preventable deaths in animal enclosures.

That is so wonderful. Manatees are just wonderful. I am moving to Florida. Kayaking fishing and manatees interaction are one of the things that I am going to do the most!
There should be boat free zones for these fascinating creatures
Good to see Seaworld putting animals back where they belong instead of just taking them.
Actually, zoos can only take care of the orphans and then release them back into the wild.
@@Powerranger-le4up that is not what Seaworld used to do. Back in the day, they would capture perfectly healthy wild animals and keep them.

How was she rescued by Sea World? They were out in the Everglades?
Basically, there are times where they are orphaned. Zoos are allowed to have them, but once they are strong and healthy enough, federal law requires them to reintroduce them back into the wild.
