Thanks man. At an AirBnB and they have one of these. Have the coffee, never used one. Now I’m ready for the am. Cheers.
I had opted for a different model with an easy pour spout. After watching your review I changed my order to this model for $2 more. Thanks for a great review
So glad they are making these again
Excellent coffee maker reviews ‼️☕
Great review you hit all the points I was looking for. Thank you!
Thanks for the review! Waiting for mine to be delivered!
Thank you so much, did not know to line it up with the lock to the dot by handle.😊
I always wondered if the top was glass. Thanks for pointing that out. This is a really cool percolator. I have a vintage pyrex stovetop but I think I want an electric one too. You sold me on this one especially because of the glass top. Fascinating to watch! Thanks!
Very welcome & glad to hear the vid was helpful! Enjoy your coffee!!
I love glass tops on my percolators. It's almost required for me, glad I came across this video. I have tons of vintage ones, so I thought I'd get a modern version. I'll definitely be purchasing this one and the Elite Gourmet retro green percolator too. SHould you wet the baskets to all percolators or just these? I never knew that. Also LOVE the lock lid. Thank you.
That is one awesome percolator!
Thank you good video you put together!
Good job
just got mine. I ordered the easy pour one and there is no dot on the lid. I tried this twice and ended up with a plain hot pot of water both times. bummer. loved your review though.
How long can it stay plugged in? We have people in the household getting up at different times.
I need a perculator with a timer. I bought a perculator, I think it was the Presto one and it doesnt brew long enough to make good coffee. It just gets to boil and stops brewing. It wont be good unless it brews it for a few minutes or so. I dont know whats wrong with all these perculators but Ive literally only seen like 1 decent one on the market, that has a timer, so I bought that one and love it. WTF though? GOd all these other ones suck, or I dont know what Im doing wrong then.
Get a lamp and appliance timer from the hardware store and program it to turn on 15 mins before you get up fresh coffee is ready when u wake up I've used the lamp and appliance timer on my percolator since 1973
I meant because these perculators turn off like as soon as it starts percing. I need a perculator that will actually perc a proper brew cycle and not make weak tea out of my coffee. Ive found a couple so far. Most of these styles here I find are the problem.@@BillChambersmarquez-ym7gq
Where can I purchase this percolator?
Great review. Couple of questions, Ok the top view window is glass, but what about that water level window in the handle? is that glass as well? Any idea if the heating well is stainless steel? I found out that Presto has an aluminum one, will be returning that.
The water level window is plastic.
How can you remove the handle so you can clean dried up gunk inside the view tube? Please help me i can't figure it out.
In my vintage ge peek a brew percolator in the use and care booklet it says to wet a non bristle pipe cleaner and run it up and down to clean the brew level gauge hope this helps
@@BillChambersmarquez-ym7gqi have one too!
Put a couple of shakes of salt on your coffee, once it's in the basket. put your lid on and percolate. The only way to make coffee.
Yup, it gets rid of the bitterness
Dang, wish we could use these in New Zealand, wrong voltage for us.
Mine won’t perk long enough to make good coffee
The thermostat is bad
Thank you, what if I empty the percolator and I forgot disconnect it, it has any safety for it?
None that I'm aware of, best to be safe and unplug right after use.
