I think a lot of viewers will be surprised by the different cultures that exist around the world.
To a western viewer, gay men and women are pretty common and well understood but trans people are new and controversial.
To a person from india, trans people or intersex people aren't too big of a deal since everyone already knows about Hijra but gay men and women are mind blowing.

A gay Muslim in the US said in Islam homosexuality can’t even be discussed.
It doesn’t exist as a concept, so LGBTQ folk can’t even debate the topic.
Our three friends here, once they understood the concepts, agreed that it would cause a big problem in their society because it would not be accepted.
I heard a Muslim in the Middle East say that there are no gay people in his nation…of course, every man has a boy that they have sex with, but they have wives and children.

@@dygz First, no, every man doesn’t have a boy to have sex with. There are societies like Afghanistan where women are not allowed out in public much of the time, so men and boys are always together and young boys are trained to dance, sing and perhaps have intimacy with men (the boys are called bachi bosh), but I’m not sure how widespread this practice is.
However, in Islam, you are allowed to FEEL same-sex attraction, but are not allowed to act on it (so you cannot BE gay). There are extenuating circumstances but homosexuality is very frowned upon and can not be expressed openly. There’s really no grey area, so discussing whether it is right or wrong isn’t going to happen. It’s just wrong.

I'm not sure the video you showed them was the best coverage of the topic, was quite quick and might have focused too much on the technical as opposed to the human, but these gents always see the human which is lovely. It takes years to really wrap your head around this stuff, even as a member of the LGBT community, nevermind as an outsider. But these men start off with the right attitude: god made them this way, humans deserve respect. What Raeen says in the beginning about society ostracizing people who are different from the mainstream is a really key point that a lot of homophobes don't understand; a big part of why LGBT people can seem different and scary to some is because they're forced out of the society and into their own lives away from others. Integration and understanding cures hate and conflict.

That's curious when that part of the population is much larger than many realize. Asexuality is great because we don't have to deal with the hang ups, woes and tribulations of love and romance. Just odd that it is not recognized even by people who themselves were not recognized or even maligned themselves in the recent past while people who dress up in clothing of the opposite sex are suddenly mainstream. The part I love the most about these videos are those little moments where one of them is speaking frankly. Like Babu at the end of this video when he tries to compare a bisexual person in a relationship with a woman and then having "contact" with a man, to a relationship between a man and a woman and how the woman might become suspicious if the man talks to another woman he knows from his past. So then Babu goes on to say, regarding the latter scenario, that if such a little thing can cause so much problems, then just think how many problems could be caused by the same thing in a bisexual relationship. As if it would be any different.
I love it because he is just describing the scenario he knows and then comparing it to the new scenario he is presented with, and both scenarios are really just kind of "the same", but because he only knows about one of them and finds the other one mind-boggling, he assumes that the scenario he doesn't know must be "unwieldy" compared to the one he does. What he is saying actually doesn't make any sense at all, and still I kind of feel like I understand what he's saying and feeling. I don't know why exactly I love these little moments, but they're so geniune in a way. There's something so very human about them. They make me think about all the things I personally don't know, and how I might react to things I don't know anything about. It takes me on a little spiritual journey.

I think a lot of people watched a different video than I did. Prefacing this to say that I adore these gentlemen and their pure and kind spirit I have seen through all of their videos. But as for this one, where is all this "love & acceptance" from our tribal friends? In the beginning, they mentioned a "third gender" and were expressing tolerance for what they have seen in their culture. I have a feeling it's not the same as what most others know as transgender. They were appalled by the thought of same sex (gay/lesbian relationships) and said that would not be accepted in their village and those people would be kicked out of society. That doesn't sound like acceptance and tolerance to me. I don't "blame" them for these expressions, because it is only what they know in their culture. I would hope for them to learn more about this and really accept it, but one has to realize that this isn't about some strange new foreign food or seeing tall buildings and modern technology for the first time. This is embedded in their way of thinking. I really do hope they are open enough to truly accept this "new concept". Now, that would really be something to shed tears of joy over.
I also want to say, I love this channel. It has opened my heart and mind to other cultures and people of such a primitive way of life (compared to the Western world). Watching their reactions and wonderment to so many things we take for granted, I have laughed till I cried and I have even just cried. I loved it when Babu said there were three sexes ( referring to the third sex, what today we call intersex). They used to be called hermaphrodites, people who are born with the physical attributes of both sexes. When people say God made only two sexes, and that anything other than that is a choice, what about people who are born intersex? If they were born that way, and God created them that way, where does that put them? That's why you can't judge people. We have no right to judge them or to say what God approves of or doesn't. Better to accept them as they are and let God be the judge.

Two men can't have kids, they can only adopt or have a surrogate mother bear their children. Two women still have the "equipment" to produce offspring, but need assistance. Aside from adoption, there is sperm donation and there are additional methods such as using stem cells from one of the two women's spine and using it to create sperm using their DNA (stem cells are essential cells that have not been assigned a specific role), making it so that their child will be biologically theirs rather than half belonging to the sperm donor. There are other options that are being worked on by doctors and scientists to enable same sex couples to have biological children. Also note, two people of the same gender can still "go at it" just like a straight couple.

Hello! Wonderful video as always! I live in America and have been fortunate enough to meet many different kinds of people. I think of course all people are capable of cheating or being unfaithful, but over here what we care about more is building the bond and trust so that both partners know they are loved and respected. We spend a long time dating before getting married here. And some people never actually marry, even though they have a partner in life! In the USA it is very hard to say why a person does some things and not others, because they probably grew up way different than you. Because there are so many kinds of people here, even if your family hated you, you can walk five minutes and be welcomed into a whole new world with different beliefs. In a way its like we have millions of tribes that all share the land. If one village abandons us or shuns us, all we have to do is open our hearts and someone will be there to open their arms.

    • @enderoctanus
      @enderoctanus 2 года назад

Unfortunately it is true that fidelity has lost its value over the decades, maybe even the past two centuries, in America (and the Western world in general). Fewer and fewer people view marriage as a contract between themselves and God. I view most divorce as a form of infidelity. Not sexually of course, but one or both participants decided to break the contract. This means that the marriage (and thus any potential partner) is much less powerful, it can be ended. Now don't get me wrong, most people don't go into it with the idea that their spouse is somehow less valuable. The issue though is that these views are not conscious. So while they do devalue their partner, they themselves don't even realize it, certainly it isn't intentional.
There can be a great danger in feeling free to abandon your community at any time for whatever reason. While it is of tremendous value if your community fails you or ostracizes you wrongly, what happens when someone is raised by a community, decides they don't owe them anything, and just leave? Worse still, is when this is done because they just don't want to have to put in any effort to maintain good relationships in that community. This leads to weaker and less trusting communities that are policed ever more harshly internally.

There are 2 sexes. Gender used to be an interchangeable word but has more recently been expanded to have its own terminology. That took me forever to get my head around. Now I've learned I don't need to invest any time to learn all the words and what they mean, as a person I'm talking to will tell me how they like to be addressed and we go from there. For that person, it means a lot. But for me, it's just an extension of their name. I'm happy to use whatever you want me to use, but only if you tell me. If you lose your shit because I used the wrong word but you never told me, I have no more time for that person.

Just goes to show that the Bible is true about being a humble and open person and to not judge. I know they are not Christian. But bravo to these men because this is the way Jesus would expect Christian’s to react. And unfortunately most Christian’s have gotten so far away from Jesus’ teachings that they shouldn’t call themselves Christians anymore.

There's a Robin Williams movie where he played a comedian who runs for president. When asked what his stand was on gay marriage, he said, "I think gay people have the right to be just as miserable as the rest of us." 😂
That was pretty eye-opening. Sure, it was meant as a joke but I realized LGBTQ+ are just like anybody else, want to fall in love and get married like anybody else, argue about whose turn it is to take out the trash or wash the dishes, have friends over for dinner, go out on date night or stay in and watch Netflix. Go to work, complain about their job, have visiting rights when one of them is hospitalized, fight, make up, raise kids if they want, read them to sleep and send them to school, grow old together, bicker like an old married couple, live their lives, be happy. You know, like straight folks. Most homophobes just can't get past the sex part. Why? Maybe in biblical times, people got married to make babies, but that's not much of a deciding factor anymore these days. So why do these people focus on the sex too much? If you looked at a person or couple, whether they were straight or gay, and the first thing that comes to your mind is how freaky they can get in bed, I think you need serious therapy. 😂

as per the thing they said about bisexual people and the guy liking another guy that'll lead to divorce with his wife, that same thing can happen with a straight guy with a woman, cheating is cheating no matter the sexual orientation or identity.
the thing about marriage and kids, the only thing stopping that from happening is bigots, also there's plenty of cis het men and women who can't have children, are they not deserving of being treated as normal citizen then? do they get discriminated upon like queer people? no. so the problem is definitely not these "issues" people think queer people will face but the existence of queer people itself that bothers people because they can't relate to them.
obviously i know that people who aren't lgbtq+ or haven't seen lgbtq+ people around them react this way mostly when provided with information but i hope they'll learn to accept people as they are eventually
