This is me on so many levels
Oho I love this- soft (yandere-ish?) possessive, protective (possible dad? can't tell what their relationship is yet) aspiring chef dryder (adopts?/technically hostage?) has chill chat session with Listener about his culture and his repertoire of food skills, being so gentle and wrapping listener up in like 16 layers of web worried they'll get cold (possibly worried about escaping tho? I doubt though even if Listener escaped he'd hurt them, he'd likely be overly cautious and careful even re-captur-I mean "returning" them) And even head pats and promise of desserts! I just wanna give him the fluffiest hug.
Also IDK if you went for the word symbolism on purpose but "Zenith" means something like the "top of a peak" which coincidentally enough, the top of a cliff is what the listener fell from. (I love visual cross-symbolism like that.

Oh, I adore Zenith.
To listen to his passion for desserts and his curiosity for cuisines gets me giddy.
Reminds me of my times in baking class and fine desserts. When we had to make our fillings for pies or just making compotes. I really enjoyed making panne cotta.
Anyways, went down memory lane. This was lovely and I was excited to listen to Zenith go on and on but that deal in which I would be graced with one of his creations would be worth the wait.

They are referred as bugs because they tick most of the boxes for the criteria, but since they lack chewing mouthparts in most cases, they aren't scientifically classed as insects. Most ppl just refer to them as insects because they are more insectlike than any other animal and because they have the same criteria minus a few exceptions that somehow class them differently.
Personally, I think they should be classed as insects because of how closely related they are to centipedes and other creatures like this, but I guess insectologists were just like "nah, I'm not touching that" and just abandoned them. Poor Webby Bois...

I've done a fair bit of digging and there seems to be conflicting info as to whether bug and insect are the same or not or even Arachnids belong to either of them. As far as I know, arachnids are definitely not bugs, despite being remarkably similar, but some places refer them at to either bugs or insects because there is a fair bit of confusion as to whether a bug or insect is the same. If that is the case, then no, arachnids are neither. I'm not entirely sure as to whether both terms were coined to accommodate every insectoid creature and then later became two classifications or they were both coined specifically to become classifications themselves. Sorry for making this complicated and long lol, I aspire to be a biologist someday and i love to explore stuff like this. You learn something new everyday. Better not get into the genetic side of this otherwise I'll end up doing a whole presentation 😂😂😂
