There are several steps to reading your birth horoscope
1. check the ascendant degrees
2. check the placement of the ascendant lord
3. check the placement of moon
4. check the placement of sun
5. check rest of the planets.
6. check for aspects
7. check for functional malefic and functional benefice planets
8. check for sextile, square and trine of planets.
9. check for yogas
10. check for divisional charts like D9, D7, D10 and Horary chart
11. check for Atmakarka and Amatyakaraka.

Steps to reading a birth chart
1) First look at degrees of ascendant to see if near the cusp. Then double check time.
2) Check ascendant and ascendant lord house for life path/destiny and what I'll actually be doing.
3) Check moon house to see where my mind is placed.
4) Check sun house to see what my soul wants.
5) Check other planets to see what they are about.
6) Check planets strength in this order: debilitated, exalted, own sign, general sign.
7) Check moon nakshatra.
8) Check aspects.
9) Functional Benefic/Malefic.
10) Western aspects.
11) Check vedic degrees of planets; avashtas.
12) Check Mahadashas, Antardasha, and Pryantardasha.
13) Check transits.
14) Check D9 and D10 charts.
15) Check yoga's.

anatoly romanov Try writing down each step as he presents them. That may help you to better apply your learning style to videos. Also, he is presenting concepts that assume you know what he’s talking about. Essentially, he is giving you a tic list. You will strengthen your learning if you list the steps, then go to your own chart and look for what he’s described.

Yes, there are two zodiacs. One is the stars. The other is the seasons. Alike to all things with astrology the dynamics of what and how, sun and moon, quantity and quality work into these. The tropical zodiac shows above the base of the sidereal (what one is on the higher level (not at all always better however).....
That's because they are using the wrong zodiac in vedic (though this is also true of most Western astrologers). The proper chart is tropical zodiac with whole sign houses. This is the original system before it was corrupted and confused.
@@based9930 no! vedic astrology definitely doesn't use the wrong zodiac -.- sidereal system (used by vedic astrology) is actually thee blueprint and not tropical fyi and tropical was only discovered and used later on, and both tropical and sidereal systems are not wrong

My long form birth certificate shows birth time and reads as my mother recalled. It was close to midnight, changed the day! She was into astrology and insisted the nurse correct it. It matters more because I read as 26 minutes before Leo! But both show me as Cancer. I’ve seen both charts, but missed the wonderful examples to rectify it as you are giving us! Hello KRS! I typed in my birth datas correctly in a vedic astrology calculator but my Sun sign, ascendant and everything else, basically my whole chart was completely different than the Western One. I must say that i feel like the western chart describing suits me better. Did i type something wrong or is it normal that the vedic chart is different than the western?

I can't find a free vedic website that asks for the city and the state? One website says to put the city but it only asks for the state, and because everyone planet that I'm used to seeing is completely different, I cannot tell if it is accurate or not. I just want a website that makes it simple for me!

How would you compare Western to Hindu astrology, and if they have different signs in different houses, how can we interpret either with any sincerity?
That's not exactly the right answer. Some Western astrologers use the sidereal system and some vedic use tropical. But as a general rule, vedic astrologers use the sidereal system.

Some planets are moved in Chalit chart as respect to the birth chart because of degrees. So should I focus on chalit chart than birth chart?
How planets jumps too many houses in Navamsa chart in respect to the lagna or birth chart?

Thanks for your immediate response , actually I was born in New Delhi , so I doubt the info can be wrong because the place wasn't accurate.My DOB is 2/24/78 , 1:46 am New Delhi.. I visited that astrologer as 2 of my pals have really benefited from him. I didn't visit him personally as he doesn't reside in my city , my friend gave my birth details to him , which I confirmed while talking to the jyotishi on phone.He didn't predict much just gave me remedies.
So in Vedic astrology I am a Sagittarius with a Capricorn AS and moon in Scorpio?! At least that's what I read! Rahu in the sign of cancer, Ketu in Capricorn.

When checking my chart am I suppose to do my birthday in military time or not I'm confused? Some ask for it an some doesn't but it produces two different charts
what do you mean military time? It's a 24 hour period time. for example twenty minutes past midnight is 00:20 and two o'clock in the afternoon is 1400. Some softwares cater to military times and others actually have a designator of am or pm.
Kapiel, what about the people who were born prematurely and their birth was artificially induced to avoid complications? Will the kundli formed from their time of birth be their real kundli or not?

Why it is 2.5 hours while a day has 24 hours and we have 12 zodiac signs... so it should be 2 hours because 30 degree makes sense 360/12 = 30.. Am i missing anything???
Your children maybe in Aquarius in 7p.m yesterday. But maybe in another ascendant in 7p.m today. It changes everyday. Not in a circle of 24 hours.

Which website/ programme provides the accurate chart? I've tried tons and every one has different results. My sun is on the cusp and ascendant as well... I am going to join your Vedic Astrology (47 week?)course in a couple of days, but the problem is I don't even know who I am :(.

+Aldemar Sesmundo That is such a good question, because the moment of birth was put on a doctor's schedule. It was not a "natural" creation. My niece had a C-section and the doctor gave her a 5 day window to pick the date of birth of her twin boys. I hope he answers your question.
I think it's the time when they take their first breath. The soul means breath, it's quite obviously the most important event.
@BurgundyandBlue1111 you make a good point! The 5 day window thing, that kinda makes a human responsible for choosing a date and time of birth. It is chosen by the doc/parents in this case which may be taken as either predestined or at will of parents. Just a thought though, does this mean that parents should consult astrology in cases where they have to choose a date for C-section just to be on the safe side and not give birth on an inauspicious date/time? I hope KRS answers this. I was born in one of the most inauspicious times which is responsible for bringing calamities it seems (it was a natural birth though). Does this mean C-section can change lives since dates can be decided by humans? @KRSchannel - Learn Astrology, can you please enlighten us on this? Thanks in advance!

Dear Kapiel , I have a major problem in my chart please guide me accordingly. According to the computer I have a certain ascendant , but when I visited a vedic astrologer he used one of his almanacs manually found out that my ascendant is something else. Is it possible that the computer will be wrong , I checked 3 horoscope programs , like Kundli , Parasharas light and Jaganatha hora , they had all the same ascendant , but the astrologer is insisting that its not the case. Am confused , HELP !

i have the same problem. i'm pisces with asc in scorpio, but in vedic charts im asc libra :/ rahu-ketu or north node is no more in the 3rd-9th house, is in the 4th-10th etc.
this happens because Western Astrology uses the Tropical Zodiac while most Vedic Astrologers and calculators use Sidereal. between the two zodiac calculation systems most of your placements will shift a whole sign (up to 24 degrees i believe)

Allright, I'm kind of new to the vedic version of astrology. I do use sidereal as I believe it is the true zodiac, but I follow the circular chart. (The one with all the "confusing lines") And there's quite a few fundamental differences in the circular chart versus the traditional vedic. For example: In a circular chart my sun is on the cusp of the 2nd and 3rd house with jupiter well into my 3rd house both in leo, but vedic style places them both in the 2nd house (the house leo rules) plz rplybk

Hi, I was wondering if you can comment which of the relation between Saturn and Jupiter in the following two cases will give better result to the native depending upon their house and state (exaltation, debilitation based on rashi). Saturn in Libra and Jupiter in Gemini ( 3 houses apart) VS. Saturn in Libra and Jupiter in Cancer (2 houses apart) in a horoscope. Please comment on the beneficial and malefic results. Hello Kapiel, what about AK Sa, AmK Mo and Ra all within a few degrees in house 9 (in Nakshatra Revati) for Cancer lagna? Me in Gemini in house 12. Sun in house 11 aspected by (vargotamma and malefic, but AK) Sa. In D9 Sa and Su are in house 9 and Ra and Mo are in house 8, again lagna is Cancer. Mo seems to be heavily afflicted. Is there a Shakti Yoga, because Ra and Mo are together in D1 in house 9 (conjunct AK Sa) and also together in D9 in house 8? What does this all mean? Kind regards Bulent

Do you mean to say if lagna degree is 1 or 29 then does that mean the native's lagna will change for example a taurus ascendant can be aries or gemini ascendant..??? Is that what you want to say?

And in my case (that I am not sure which is the exact time of my birth and my ascendant seem to be at the end of Aquarius things are becoming more complicated...Also Jupiter seem to be strong to my chart so that makes things even more difficult. I wonder which planet would be stronger? Saturn (as Lord of the Asc) or Jupiter (which is in own sign - ninth hse and exalted in Navamsa)? Also is there a possibility of successful combination of power of these two planets?
