She reminds me so much of myself. I am a Caribbean American woman who did not come from Money. However I was a teacher then got divorced, lost a few of my properties in that process. I went back to get my MBA and that completely changed my perspective on the world. I now work in the investments/wealth management space for a major corporation to provide for my 8 year old. I am now working on rebuilding my real estate portfolio. After my 9-5 hours I work on my start up. Proud of you Ayesha! Thank you for sharing your journey. From Texas, USA 🇺🇸
Wow, that's super fantastic you got an MBA, after the mess you went through and you came out fantastic that's brilliant, stay blessed and truly inspirational!
That coworker gatekeeping property investment is soooo real!!!! There are people that don’t want to help because they fear that you will do better than them.
We bought a house in a highly desirable neighborhood in 2016. It needed new windows, new roof, new ac units, resurfacing of the pool, new lawn, and many other updates. The house was a rental and the owner did not keep it up. It was $625k, and we bought it for $550K and the seller gave us $7k at closing. We remodled the house over the years. We sold it two weeks ago for $1.25M. We are using the money from the sale to build a new house in the country so that we can retire with no mortgage. I definitely would like to find more real-estate that could give me that kind of return again.
First, this video really blessed me and led me to write a detailed action plan with some concrete steps I will be taking over the next two weeks to begin leveling up even more. Secondly, it is amazing to see two accomplished Black women talking about all of this with such authority, poise, and elegance. I wish you both continued success and hope to see and hear more from both of you in the near and distant future.

As a black woman and planner this podcast has been interesting love the speaker 😊- but what we must recognise is that buying up residential properties leads to devastating consequences for communities especially in London . I understand that it’s a way of generating income but at the same time it leaves less housing stock for those who need homes. Those who buy to let hike up rent prices and leave very little opportunity for those who are homeless or struggling. The financialisation of housing is and continues to be a problem and needs to be regulated by the government. Not to knock down on the great work that this lady has achieved!!

Financial literacy is very important for anyone, most especially for women. Instead of purchasing 500,000 on an automobile, Rolex watch, 3000 euro shoes or handbags and so on, save that money and invest in properties, little by little. Those properties drum up monthly income for you and you can sell, if needed, however, one should always keep the land, as it appreciates in value. Invest in properties in different countries and get very good property managers.

I believe in building wealth to support yourself, your family, or anyone you choose to provide for, while avoiding a life of excess. It's possible to have enough to meet your needs, enjoy meaningful experiences, and afford quality items without financial strain. Congratulations to Ms. Ayesha and her accomplishments. Definitely her ancestors were West African. Excellent message, advice and information from this young lady. So many parents who travelled to Europe or America, for a better life for their children, suffered greatly. Many children of these parents, like this young lady, appreciated what their parents went through. Many Jamaican, Caribbean, African parents worked at jobs that were beneath their intelligence, until their papers came through, so that their children would not have to suffer as they did. Wonderful to see these young ladies appreciated all the efforts of their parents. Education. Communication. Network. Experience. Gateways through many doors.
Thanks ladies for this brilliance! Let get a US propelle app! I’d love to support and tap into more of these resources/content. I already d follow you in the socials!! ❤
Of course, we all have inherent biases but it's interesting seeing us express them against each other. Particularly the surprise about Black carrib strictness on education. I loved that she checked it with the no offense disclaimer but it's interesting that we hold them so heavily in our communities and continue to live by stereotypes. Loved the convo.
@@Missfitt007 I am also American. Possibly why we picked up on it? We do not have the same AF vs. Carrib thing so similar statements and stats are used by AF and Carrib as a collective group against AA and I always challenge my family (Nigerian & Jamaican) to consider where exactly they're getting that from.
I think in the UK the issue with Carribbean boys in education and other areas has coloured how many view Carribbeans. I think you guys should highlight amazing women like her more so it’s not all carnival- there’s obviously so much more to you
There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *amzrepe* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.
As an avid investor myself, it's so refreshing to see women prioritizing their financial freedom. I will be looking into Propel! Wonderful segment 👏🏾 ❤
Kudos to Ayesha doing great stuff seeing her last name I assumed she was Ghanaian. Didn't know she was Jamaican but hearing her speak for the first time it makes sense. Most Jamaicans especially in north west London speak better English than the former queen. Top tier eloquence.
This is useful for people under 30 who are working in banking it'll make them take the plunge but you know and I know Lamide that for the 35 + gang part owning a company that has a valuation of a $50 million + that's listed on a stock exchange in the US and the EU is better than doing an £80k job also buying stock every month on the S&P and taking credit based on the value of stock to buy Gilts, International real estate, bonds and fractional ownership in small mines in places such as Tanzania and the Phillipines

@MesAjadvizo i'm blown away! mind sharing basic info please? i am a young adult living in Miami where i've encountered several millionaires, and my goal is to become one as well
Look into Tyrone Jackson the wealthy investor. Invest in index funds as well. Some good ones are VOO and SMH.
bots are still obvious
I can recommend you a good scammer.
Such a great episode. First time here. Streaming from 🇿🇦
Thank you for doing what you do Elizabeth!
This is really insightful, great conversation. As a banker myself, am trying to build a solid base as I wouldn't want to be in this rat race for too long.
I am new to this channel. Just subscribed… ❤️💕 I just applied for a program with Goldman Sachs .. I think that’s why RUclips is showing me this content (I searched for the business over 2 weeks ago) 😅
Welcome aboard 🤍
Best female podcast Ive seen so far.
This is such an informative and entertaining interview. Thank you both! 🙏🏽
This app will grow and open up to investors in South America, Africa, Asia. Would be good to have a follow-up interview when it will be launched outside of UK.
I love you girls, this is very good interview for my beautiful daughter. I love your story, thank you 🎉🎉
Thank you so much Ayesha. I am new to investing and your advice and experiences just saved me years I can tell. Thank you so much Elizabeth
Thank your for this masterclass and mind expander. 💖🎄💖
I hope she bring this to the states ❤️absolutely loved this. Thank you

Ladies, thank you so much for this conversation, absolutely phenomenal
elizabeth! well done! fantastic interview wth ayesha. keep it up! 🎉
I learned so much from this.
Thank you! Please see me response to the other comment on this, hopefully that will explain.
I thought about that, because I did, & I’m American, but I loved how she flew above it but answered it for her household.
Oh boy!
I think in the UK the issue with Carribbean boys in education and other areas has coloured how many view Carribbeans. I think you guys should highlight amazing women like her more so it’s not all carnival- there’s obviously so much more to you
“But you’re English” is so real 😭🤣
Very informative thank you and happy new year
Great video Lamide! This is very inspiring ❤️
There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *amzrepe* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.
Great interview, She articulated that well!
As an avid investor myself, it's so refreshing to see women prioritizing their financial freedom. I will be looking into Propel! Wonderful segment 👏🏾 ❤
So motivational. Thank you!
This is so relatable
Everything is about exposure and you’re perspective / mindset.
What a woman ❤ inspiring
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
Very true...MBA does the magic and makes you versatile in the business world
Two amazing young ladies! Great stuff! 😎
Thanks so much!
Kudos to Ayesha doing great stuff seeing her last name I assumed she was Ghanaian. Didn't know she was Jamaican but hearing her speak for the first time it makes sense. Most Jamaicans especially in north west London speak better English than the former queen. Top tier eloquence.
Some Nigerians also bear the name “Ofori”
Probably marital name
Quite possibly her Dad is a Ghanaian or she's married to a Ghanaian.
🤣🤣🤣👍🏽 Master taught us well 🤦🏽♂️
@@SoniaShorter-q5o lool you mean massa
Amazing conversation! So many key nuggets
There should be a button higher than like.....this video was GREAT. It was insightful.❤

Really enjoyed the interview!
