I believe Edison had something to do with Louis Le Prince’s disappearance. Edison was renowned for claiming inventions for himself, such as the light bulb, which was Invented by Swan in Newcastle upon Tyne. You also only have to look at the number of inventions made by Tesla, that Edison claimed to be his.

What would be the explanation for Edison's diary entry then (for those who've seen it but still say he wasn't involved)?
The "money-grubbing narcissist who uses others' ideas and sees them as obstacles to his success" is a personality type wholly consistent with murder, whether or not they were 'known for murder' before isn't a necessary hurdle to actual guilt.

Just my 2 cents but the last person to see a victim is statistically the most likely perpetrator. If no one ever confirmed he was on the train and there was no luggage on the train, the brother is lying about him getting on the train. Arguing over money and their mom’s will is the strongest motive. Edison’s comment could have been simply him hearing about it being a possible murder and he was commenting that’s not his cup of tea. Sad ending for such a brilliant guy though

First, you "tackle" the theory that he disappeared voluntarily - and the only angle you mention is that "some speculate that he was gay" - who? How credible these "some" are? And then, with one "argument" against it (why would his family spend so much on tryin g to find him if they wanted him to go and start a new life? - well, how about to keep up the appearances? Wouldn't it have been majorly suspicious if his family didn't try to "find"' him?), you continue with "now, if Le Prince didn't disappear out of his own volition..." - what? Are you suggesting the only reason he might have staged his own disappearance because of being gay? There could have been a plethora of other reasons he wanted to disappear - ones we simply don't know about, and can't deduce in lack of knowledge.
I"m sorry, but this part is seriously lazy.
