Love your layout. There is more interest and enjoyment to me in this type of layout, rather than highly detailed and life like modeling. Can't get enough of the operational movement and diversity. Kudos. Keep up the great work.
I can’t thank you enough for this video! We have many of these units and enjoy running them all. But we’ve always wondered if the level of gear and motor noise of our units was excessive. So good to see and hear that your units sound exactly like ours. Love your videos - I learn something new every time.
I notice your 65 handcar is a reproduction. I have heard and seen that original 65 handcars are one of, possibly the hardest motorized units to locate in original, undamaged condition due to the PVC rubber figures creating a chemical reaction with the plastic body of the handcar. Something interesting I discovered about the original 65 is that it is powered by the motor that Lionel Corp. created for their HO product line when they switched to in-house production around 1959/1960. Interestingly, the 65 ended production the same year that the Lionel Corporation ceased HO production, 1966.
If you don't mind me asking obviously you're an avid collector but some of the pieces you have shown on here are some of the hardest to get are these pieces that you acquired when they came out or are these something that you picked up in the previous years lots of train shows etc etc
Snow outside the windows, chimney fire at the side of my armchair and Your videos. Thats close to paradise.
