I really love how they did Knuckles as well. They managed to get the perfect balance between the strong, fearless, confident Knuckles seen in Sonic X for example and the more gullible air-headed Knuckles from Sonic Boom. The fish-out-of-water type humour was perfect for Knuckles and they pulled it off so well. On an unrelated note, now that the sequel is out, I like to think as the first movie as just the setup for the sequels to keep the context and give more reason for things like the humans or Sonic’s personality.
I am a 15-year-old with no sonic experience (outside of your videos) and I even haven't seen the first movie. My family dragged me along to see this second one and I thought it was GREAT!
Agree with your Eggman assessment. Felt his character was somewhat more cohesive and natural in the first movie. Overall I liked the movie quite a bit. Pacing was a bit off in a few places, and I feel like the humans weren't nearly as well integrated as in the original, but overall it was a lot of fun.
Yeah, the jokes werent great but that doesnt mean i didn't have a good time watching it. It was alright, definitely better than the first, not a great movie by any means but still a fun, enjoyable movie.
Naturally I would rate every single movie I see an 11/10. That’s because after it ends, I only see the good in it. And this actually presents the problems and issues with the movie, so yeah. 10.947/10

Opinion invalid the movie was perfect in every way har har har …Nah, I kid. I didn’t have much of a problem with most of your grievances when I saw the movie, I feel like they cut down on the human interaction enough for it to not feel like it bogged down the film… at least not for an uncomfortably long time. And I’ve always been a fan of referencial humor, though I can see why it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. And Sonic being a kid felt just right to me in terms of the story, since he was a character originally made for the target demographic of tweens and teens, judging by his somewhat reckless behavior. Personally, I’d give the movie a solid 7.5 or 8/10. Not perfect, but miles better than the first film. But hey, to each their own.

Honestly, just the "dot dot dot, dot dot dot" scene was enough to give knuckles the funniest character award.
