It will never cease to amaze me how many musical styles Tuomas managed to seamlessly integrate here.
You just *see* the Western movie backround rolling before your eyes in the first instrumental interlude.

Tuomas wrote this in remembrance of his grandfather. I don't know the exact details any more, but he imagined that the mermaids took him away.

Anette is actually pretty great singer on the albums. There is this one strong Anette song with a killer chorus that is kinda of a hidden gem because it was never released on any album. Just a single b-side, but it's one of my favourites. Nightwish - Escapist. ruclips.net/video/eKuCFk1j_Io/видео.html

Thank you for doing this, one of my favourites! You mentioned the trumpets, and I like the little nod to Morricone et al's spaghetti Western music, not something really done elsewhere. I see what you mean about Anette's voice, but I would encourage you to do Meadows of Heaven - there's a great fanmade lyric video here: ruclips.net/video/vxsjv6LtRz0/видео.html

I may change my mind at a later point, but the Imaginaerum album is my favorite Nightwish studio album to listen to from beginning to end. An interesting Marko song starts it off, and a lengthy, beautiful spoken word piece (mostly featuring Troy) and an orchestral 'summary' finishes it. It's a production masterpiece. This song fits perfectly into the flow of the record. Thanks for this one.
