I just..I just cannot, comprehend how SolarSimon managed to create that MAGICAL version of my Lich DM mini. I am utterly flabbergasted and my jaw needs to now be reattached to my head. Truly, speechless. Bit more fun fact, he was made for a sort of ending video to one of my campaigns, which sadly never really became realized. He is so old by this point and to see my boy turned into this FABULOUS being is breathtaking.

When I submitted Aelis I wasn't expecting anything to come of it, and I ended up the THUMBNAIL for the video!? You did a great job Derf! Thank you so much!! Edit: When I submitted Aelis I did pick her from all my models because she already matched your preferred colour schemes lol
You did Emily so dirty, it looks increeeedible with the tail magic and I don't think it distracts from the model at all, they make a perfect backdrop. The way theyre curled and posed and the detail in the color shading looks fantastic! Can't call that previous green raven magic one a banger and say this is too much lol. My opinion though.

Thank you for the kind words! Last rework video you pointed out how desaturated and dull my colours were so since then I have worked to use brighter and more full colours. With the model I made I intentionally also made use of the colouring in the booth for the look, so although the whites are slightly yellow out of the booth, the colours all balance out in the booth. And if I had kitbashing It would've made the pose much easier. I think all I used was an APR for that leg pose 🤔No other glitches beyond that
I can't wait to get my hands on kitbashing. Just being able to adjust the body proportions will be life changing. No more thick necks and huge hands and feet on female characters!
I am always kinda sad I am not drawn for this but I am also glad for all the other people that got picked, I once saw my mini in the first reworking video and I was satisfied with that.
A shame Ruk never got a chance to be kitbashed, bugbears be a rare sight on the forge, but damn, these are all amaIng, cant wait to get our hands ln this. Truely in inspiration for the minis we make Derf.

Visually, the only difference is slightly pointier ears, right? To be fair, I just generally don't lean toward human adjacent races when making my characters, usually preferring to go with one of the more animalistic or monstrous ones (ironic because I sent you a human) so in my opinion, they're both kinda boring to start with. I don't really differentiate between humans and half-elves. Edit: 6:40 AHHHHH HOLY SHIT YES, FITTING CLOTHING BETTER!
An also interesting Video idea would be to make an dnd Character imagined as lvl 1, something mid lvl Like 5 or 8, and then lvl 20. it would make a interesting Video/story, Imagining the Trinkers and tokens, the change in Equipment and maybe Style.
I was creating a model and I was just told i had too many kitbash items. I counted 20. Is there a limit on number of kitbash items you can have? why does it look like you are using way more than 20 kitbash items on a model?
The video is awesome as always! But I have been tormented by the question about kitbashing for a long time (since I abandoned HF for a long time), how to get it? Who is it given to? When will it be available to everyone? (sorry, but this is not a joke, and I'm really interested)
I love the HF product, but damn, their official Discord server is awful. And not because of the users; it's the mods who are toxic, gaslighting and abusing power.
To be honest you don't necessarily NEED it. On the 2nd model I only layered hairstyles and used no horns - but it was requested with the 1st model to keep a similar style to the hair, hence why I kept similar horns from the first
There are still only so many items you can use in kitbashing. If you want to use kitbashing to detail the clothing or body you might still need to use horn hair.
@SechzigRayner yeah but Derf frequently focuses on what he claims makes it "less cartoony" so I thought it would be the 1st thing he would kit bash every time lol

Hey Derf, is there a way to send to Hero Forge Team impressions/suggestion about Kitbashing? I've seen they have a “suggest part” form, but it doesn't allow you to write more than 4-5 lines of text unfortunately.

9th September it comes out of beta for everyone to use. Until now it's only been available to a few select content creators
