As a gigging singer, this has got to be the absolute saddest truth that is so, so, hard to swallow. Speaking for myself, you have these singers you have admired all your life, but you just cannot sing (and sound good) singing in their key. It can be a very tough pill to swallow, especially when lowering the key one lousy half step is not an option.
VIDEOHEREBOB agreed! Now, you can always change keys and adapt songs to suit your voice. It is bot appropriate for every situation. But for the enjoyment of singing it is fun to do.
