As a former dancer, and someone who mainly watches the dance line...MAY I SAY THE ARE THE Sugar Honey Iced Tea! And for the record, them damn Quads are hell to pay..damn they were jaw dropping! This is the BEST drum that I have ever laid my eyes on!
Great job Cold Steel, this was great to see. They not only represented their school but the drumming and showmanship of HBCU's. Much respect for all styles of drumming. Us old heads that had interest in both HBCU's, Corps style, DCI back in the day , really appreciate how far things have come. The expressive movement that drumlines are doing today while playing has to be respected by all. Its very hard to play clean while doing exaggerated movements.
This is awesome. Performing at a DCI competition is awesome, but.....If y'all could make it out to Drumline Battle in Indianapolis, you guys would completely crush it. Getting exposed to the best of HBCU style marching bands is exactly what the drum corps community needs, and this drumline is the best one to start it.
This was amazing and I'm truly proud of my guys!! Never would have thought this was possible back when I marched! Continue to break barriers Cold Steel!! FAOD!
I am so excited to see & hear you guys this 2019 season. You are the elite of HBCU drumlines & you make me proud to be a Aggie. Trust & believe the whole Aggie family love you! ❤❤💙💛💙💛 #COLDSTEEL #AGGIEPRIDE!!
It funny when they first started making those changing and adopting the Drum Corps style mix with the old style everybody was not in tune with it. I knew it would just be a matter of time before it would start being accepting.
Precision at it's best! The only other drumline that even comes close to them is Norfolk State D-line. Both HBCU's have top tier drumlines!! Both are the real deal!! Those two (2) drumlines need to battle it out........gonna come down to the cleanness snare line............both are exceptional lines by far!
Ima say this. No shade towards anybody. In terms of hbcu drumlines we will always argue about whos the best (not even going to address that topic). I will say this is one of the hardest working, if not The hardest working hbcu drumline out there and its evident by this performance and many others.
Pine To The Cone cleaner than this performance I don’t think so. The band brawl between ncat and NSU. NSU dropped a stick and the quints used stands and played for about 3 minutes. During the quint solo piece you have one player looking at the crowd while the others were looking down while they play. That’s good for band brawl but not for this.
From a biased JSU fan. No one can touch this drum section. They are DCI quality with soul.
Respect!
Much respect to you and The JSU Family, from a diehard Aggie.
Best HBCU drumline period!
Dude?!?! These cats are TIGHT!!!! And I love the way the tenors are tuned!!... entertainining as hayell !!!!!!

Cold Steel and MDF$ are the best drumline I've ever seen. Definitely can tear up DCI with both combinations of styles.

Plus, we play each other every year!!
I saw them go at it earlier this year. I will give it to Norfolk State this time, but Cold Steel still did good.

I'm a NSU Spartan and I give it props.. #respectthetalent
I know I am late, but there was no other school. This was at a drum corp show, it was the opener before the Corps took the field.
I'm a NSU Spartan.. and str8 up. This was nasty... props to Blue Steel..
This is definitely my second favorite drumline after BCU 🔥💯

Sorry but A&T is the only HBCU drumline that would have been able to entertain, and play clean enough for this type of crowd.
@@danielreid3878 Norfolk state was cleaner during that drum battle earlier this year. But Cold Steel still sounded good
