- HERE WE GO!! I have to admit I was more excited than usual - and a little apprehensive - about this reveal folks. As you all know, the KE30 seats were in absolutely deplorable condition, having survived 44 YEARS, and despite having seat covers, they didn't fare very well. Expected lah, come on, 44yrs weh! Haha!
I also discovered that the original door-card material was still intact under the plastic wrap and those looked to be in very good condition still, but I didn't know for sure. Additionally, it looked like the original carpet was also still intact under the PVC floor cover, but again, I wasn't sure.
The car Gods must have been smiling on me, cos 'lo and behold, it all turned out as expected, if not better folks!
Heng also did a fantastic job on the front seats, in addition to matching the old skool material, he also added more sponge to the seats, making them look absolutely new! Well done Heng, seriously awesome work. And to think, all this cost a mere rm550/-. Well worth it imho!! 👍🏽🙏🏽👏🏽😃

Driving classic cars like this feels just special.
Newer cars maybe faster, smoother, quiter, efficient and better in every aspect but lacking in soul.
This car will never fail to start. No EFi, no fancy immobiliser... no electrical fuel pump. Just fill up and GO. Life was so simple back then.
Well said!! Yes indeed bro, very true. It comes from a much simpler time for sure 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽😊
Those seats look like it just came out of the showroom. Just amazing. 😮 Can't wait to see more refinements! 🤩

The Samurai spirit is strong in this build!😂
Hahaha! Absolutely!! 😁🙏🏽👍🏽
That bus steering wheel got to be replaced by a smaller, thicker one. Other than that, this vintage car seems amazing.
It is still amazing cos even after 44yrs it can still start and run! That steering is original, it's gonna stay put 😊
@ChrisWeevilGarage Congrats man! It's a rare treasure indeed.
Wow. Just amazing.
Indeed!! Really happy with the result!! 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
Bro, when you have the time please give us your thoughts on the Rovelos performance that took you to Thailand and back in your W123. I've been getting some good feedback of late. Thinking of getting a set for my daily runabout. They r very well priced.
@@krishnachettiar I never really recommend tyres cos my own needs and expectations, and how I use them are likely different from other ppls needs and wants.
For ME, the Rovelo tyres are very good for MY needs, both in wet and dry conditions. Of course u can't compare them to PS4s or performance tyres la, they're budget tyres, but they're good for the price, that's for sure. I've used them on quite a few of my Weevils already 😊
Taking car of the car always benefit the next owner.
Benefits the existing owner too for sure 😊
Front seats must be comfortable with those thick sponges
So much more comfortable now!! 😊😊😊👍🏽
excellent. will you be covering door cards with protective layer ?
Nope, they've been covered for 44yrs, time for them to see the light of day, hahaha!! 😁
The workmanship is just so meticulous. At this era, difficult to get ppl to work on old cars as its really labour intense :p
Agreed 💯%! Really need an old skool interior guy for an old skool car, amazing work!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽😊
Cars that were built to last👍
Indeed!! They really don't make them like they used to 😊👍🏽
I would advice to wrap the door cards back with plastic so that they can last another 40 years. Haha
Nope, they deserve to be seen after 44yrs, and besides I'm not gonna last another 40yrs for sure, so why bother, hahaha!!😆😆😆
Quick question. Do you have to decide between pickup and cold air? 😅
Hahaha! Not really, I think I have enough of both for now 😊
Kalau la dapat feel drive corolla ni petang² tepi laut plak 😂 berhenti kejap kena air kelapa pastu cucuh cigar sebatang 😂
Jealous la oiii
Wah bestnyer klu blh camtu! Scenario amat baik bro, haha!!😁👍🏽🙏🏽
