Yes, you're right. Miho's father was a paramedic and he passed away at quite a young age. Apparently he was only 49. This concert was also held not too long after his passing. Miho was very close to her father who brought her to rock/metal concerts when she was young, which got her interested in rock/metal music. She wrote this song as a tribute to him.

Thanks for your reaction. 'Journey to the Otherside' ( lyrics - Miho /music - Miho,Mao) is a song from LOVEBITES' second studio Album 'Clockwork Immortality' (December 2018).
This is a very sad story that greatly influenced the subsequent events that happened with LOVEBITES. n August 2018, LOVEBITES performed at the largest rock festivals: in Germany (Wacken Open Air) and in the UK (Bloodstock Open Air). The young band (LOVEBITES was only two years old) had a unique chance to perform at these European festivals and show themselves to metal fans from around the world. This chance should have been used for a further successful international career of LOVEBITES! Miho was the leader of the band and she could not let down the rest of the ladies, the LOVEBITES team, management, Label, who did a lot to ensure that LOVEBITES had the opportunity to achieve international recognition.
LOVEBITES performed successfully at these festivals. The band was very well received by the public and received good press reviews.
Miho dedicated the song 'Journey to the Otherside' to her father, who also died in August 2018. The death of Miho's father (August 15, 2018) almost coincided with the performances of LOVEBITES in Europe (August 4, 2018, the band plays at Wacken Open Air in Germany; August 10, 2018, the band plays at the main stage of the Bloodstock Open Air in the UK)
Miho loved her father very much. She took his death very hard. For Miho it was a personal tragedy.
This concert took place in January 2019. Five months have passed since Miho's father died. When Miho was a young, her father took her to metal band concerts. Including in this hall. So she broke down and started crying during the song 'Journey to the Otherside' ( 05:18).
Two days before the official announcement that Miho had made the final decision to leave LOVEBITES (August 17, 2021), she wrote that she was currently listening to 'Journey to the Otherside' and remembering her father. She also wrote that it is very difficult for her now. That despite the fact that three years have passed since the death of her father, she still cannot get used to the fact that her father is no more.

You are right. Miho wrote this song. She lost her father who was just 49 when he died and he was a paramedic. Miho's father brought her to shows like Iron Maiden and was the reason why she became a musician.

Miho's song dedicated to her father whom she loved very much. Many still think his passing and her suffering is a reason she eventually left the band she created. You can see the total pain as she breaks down (but being the pro she is she never misses a note). Asami's lyrics as usual but notice the complete empathy she displays holding and supporting her at the hardest point in the song. Miho's dad brought her to many shows and gave her the love of metal that she still fosters to this day. Miho wanted a band to sing in English and have more of a European blend in their music. Her dream came true when the band was the 1st all female Japanese band to play Wacken (Mecca of Metal) in Germany. Thanks for Miho! In June 2017, after the release of the first 'The Lovebites EP' (May 2017), LOVEBITES was interviewed. During the interview, Miho said that she dreams of playing at the Wacken Open Air. Midori said that she dreams of playing in France at Hellfest Summer Open Air. On June 28, 2024, Midori's dream will also come true. LOVEBITES will play on the 'Mainstage 01' at Hellfest Summer Open Air.

This was the first time Lovebites played this venue, Bass player Miho her father used to take her there for concerts and he was supposed to be there for this one but passed a few months before it took place. What a true professional Miho is that she could play through that song while being so visibly hurting. Asami was emotional as well.
