Just the cabinet as a piece of fine craftsmanship is very beautiful, let alone all the mechanics and sound quality .Such a lovely song and record too . I wonder if this went to a Country House somewhere when new ?

Fan-tastic! Beautiful cabinetry, the great Al Bowlly and a mechanism still working all these years later. How fortunate you are sir. Does your collection include any Louis Armstrong 78s?

A push rod (visible in front of the turntable) lifts the edge of the record, and when the record clears the spindle, the rotation of the turntable flings it off.

Hello! Wonderful gramophone! By the way, have you got soundbox Electrola/HMV n4? Because I really need it and can’t find!

I always wondered about changing the needle after every record. What kind of needle does it use?

    • @Mechsounds

Hi John, thanks for your interest. I use Duragold columbia needles. They last 10 sides. For a single record I just use a standard needle. Cheers. Greg
