1:04 Flashbacks of finding Mesprit after going back and forth from Jubilife City and Route 203 countless times only to have it escape... again.
My words. Worth it because this was my first ever shiny encounter, and Mesprit is my favorite one of the three. :3

I also got a shiny Scatterbug from a Wonder Trade on Pokémon Y...I swear to this day they only traded it away because they thought it was a glitch.

It’s interesting how they used the Lake Trio as the Time Gear keepers in the PMD Explorers series, and you can clearly hear the ticking of the clock in their cave and battle themes.

The head colors correspond to the Creation Trio's body color
The Lake Trio battle theme gave me nightmares as a child. I literally became terrified of the Lake Trio back then because every time I encountered it, I thought it was coming for me. I like this remake, it doesn't give me the same fear, and now I can really see how good this music is.

OMG me too, the opening to the theme would freak me the f*ck out because it sounded like an alarm. I remember using the Poketch marking map to avoid Mesprit like the plague
the old chateau/sendoff spring/ turnback cave music was the one that gave me the heebie jeebies
The intro has always made me hyped.
if someone had leaked this saying it was actual music from the gen 4 remakes, I probably would have believed them.

Jester Actually, that last point might fall under anger. Probably Mesprit’s main emotion that it granted to humans.

I was never crazy about this theme until right now. They were so frustrating to catch that I just kinda went " UUUUUUUUUUUGHHH..." whenever I heard it.

Now THAT'S a remix I'd like to hear in a Pokémon game. With (possibly) the Sinnoh region coming back, that's definitely a battle music I'd like to hear!
Most Pokémon games were about fighting legendary wielders of the elements. In this game, not only the lake trio, but the Trio of what was basically God.
i just noticed all three have suicide moves.. i think azelf has self destruct, uxie has memento and mesprit has healing wish
I'd say Healing Wish wasn't a thing in 4th gen. And I have to check this but I don't renember Azelf having Selfdestruct

The theme of those caves has always been one of the most memorable and "intense" songs to me as a child, and still today. When i first entered one of those caves and heard those music, i just remember feeling really tense and even kinda "scared" for the battle to come, combined with the air of mystery it excudes, it's truly a marvelous piece, and your remaster of this has enhanced all of it's aspects in the best possible way :) Love it!

The Lake cave bit at the beginning tho. Definitely the icing on the cake.

I remember having immense difficulty tracking down Mesprit and catching the other two.

holy shit you even did the lake cave theme, that's one of my all time favorite songs from the franchise!
Whenever I hear the battle theme, I just get slammed with flashbacks of my infuriating quest to find Mesprit. To this day I STILL haven't caught it.
I see I'm not the only one who likes to let the cave theme do a full loop before triggering the battle
The percussion on this track gives it massive (U)S/(U)M vibes and I'm super into it
Team Galactic captured them for malicious intent, but you freed them, letting their plan backfire. Now, you can catch them so that they will be in your protective care.
I just want to say how much I love your gen 4 remixes. Most of the remixes/remakes I've heard all change the pacing of the song and make it sound different from the original. Yet you've managed to take the song and make it sound just as incredible (if not more). Great work!

When I was younger I was always mystified whenever I went into the caves and heard the beginning theme. After finding out what these caves belonged to, it felt awesome.

this brings me nostalgia- pokemon platinum was the game that got me into the rpg genre and azelf (due to playing on a used copy) was the first legendary/mythical I ever encountered

THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING
First shiny I ever caught was Azelf. It was on my 3rd or 4th reset by accident. I was a kid and just wanted to catch Azelf but the first few times I never did. Then it appeared shiny and I knew I had to catch it. I caught it in a timer ball. I still have it.
Whats really cool is in a way there kinda like Sonic Tails and Knuckles, The Azelf and Sonic are blue and they really show what willpower can do. Uxie and Tails are smart and yellow, and Mesprit and Knuckles are red and Knuckles has always had a temper problem which has to do with a person's emotions! :)

This is great. However, I would've liked some more Bass and Drums at the drop (or right before it). That part was what made the song exciting, and the volume seems sorta low. Any case, great job!

Mesprit wasnt that much of a problem for me to track down and catch. But Uxie and Azelf...Oh boy. I STILL have not caught them in Pokemon Pearl! And Mesprit is the only legendary i caught. I accidentally ran away from Palkia when i was just trying to grab the pokeballs. So until i get better, i need to do some more training. Uxie and Azelf, im coming for you guys soon.

Damn of only as much as I love gen 2 GSC and heartgold and soulsilver myb2nd vest favorite pokemon main core series games was Diamond and Pearl gen 4 maybe feom 2021 through 2024 somewhere in that area we might get it.lol plus gen 2 and 4 have very deep nostalgic meaning for my past irl life since I started with silver and oldschool blue from gen 1 but silver and crystal had better color vibes and better music and gen 4 I was around 17 and 19 my late teens before I had to finish up highschool and start college before and after platinim was out so it was the last time I could mess around and be a silly dude before I had to start taking life more seriously and be a responsible adult after wards so I'm hyped when gamefreak and Nintendo does do Dimaond and Pearl remakes
